Is Golds Gym Where you really Want to Go???\r I am a Family Man who has had a Membership with Gold's Gym now for 2yrs. Unfortunately i have not used this Service for 6 months or More ...and Figured it was time to Cancel the Program. When trying to Cancel...which was VERY hard to say the Least, i found out My Debit Card had expired and i now OWE $150.So I asked politly, ok Np , Please just cancel, i havent been here for a Long time...and Can No longer afford to pay $ 50 per month - Like many of us out there, Money is tight! Not Only did they Not Work with me...they are now charging me penelties and wont closeout my acount...so Now the Bill will accumulate and are threatining to send me to collections..\r \r DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE A PART OF A BUSINESS THAT DOESNT TREAT THERE FOUNDATION LIKE GOLD??\r \r MAybe 24 Hour Fitness will treat you Better\r \r Justin D. The gym itself is amazing. I loved the pool, sauna, steam room, movie/cardio room. However I had so many problems with the billing/contracts. They signed me up for a month to month contract but after I initialed and signed the electronic pad, their ""printer malfunctioned"" and they couldn't print my contract out. They assured me of what we had talked about...monthly contract, cancel whenever I want, just give 30 days notice. When I tried to cancel months later because they don't have many classes and they close really early on the weekends, they told me I can cancel in 4 months when my contract is up. \r The gym is great, but I will never, ever sign any papers with the words ""golds gym"" on them again. Pros: Beautiful gym! Cons: Don't sign a shifty contract!! Unknowledgeable managers. more
