Laid back atmosphere 11/13/2005

I took a summer class here in Glendale Community College, and I really enjoyed the experience because there is not much hassle and the campus is very big. If you want to do well, there are plenty of resources. I agree with another post saying that it had a high school feel, because I saw groups of students hanging out during the day. I loved the location and the weather here as well. more

Glendale Community College 9/30/2005

Very nice campus, good variety of classes. Most teachers are good, only a few bad ones- check the Professor Ratings section of MyPoints.com to always get the best teachers. Definately feels like a community college - laid back, no stress, cheap parking, high-school style classrooms and teachers - good transition for someone who wants to start with 2 years here and 2 years elsewhere like UCLA more

Great Junior College located in Glendale 8/12/2005

This school has all the necessary resources for anyone looking for their educational goal. this school has it all compared to other colleges i attended. This college has great reputation, it's financial aid program is one of the best in CA. The instructors there are more experienced then most other community college. Most students choose glendale right out of High school and thus the average student is younger than most community colleges more alive. It's well positioned off the 2 freeway exit mountain ave. The 2 is usually not a huge traffic zone and commute is perfect. Most of the time which is a lot better than colleges in Los Angeles. Parking I have to say is not as what i like espcially it's up about 2 flights of stairs and the parking situation can be deadly, but come on which college doesn't have a parking a problem? more

Very active community and beautiful campus. Good education 7/23/2005

Good selection of classes, good certificate programs, can easily reach a certificate, an associates, or transfer. Good counselors department, no bad professors that I have seen, laid back environment, much like a high school. Good restaurants on campus, good community, good programs and lots of events and clubs. Very active community. Price per unit keeps increasing but thats throughout California.. Although there are many busses that stop here, the 90/91 doesn't come often enough, and parking is a bit of a hassle. If you live nearby, or within the bus route of the Beeline 3 or 7, you should have no problem, but if you live in south Glendale, like me, be prepared to either take 2 Beelines, or spend $52 on a Metro Pass monthly, and wait 30 minutes every day to go home. Parking is around $50 a semester I believe. Many apartments and houses nearby, but Glendale is EXPENSIVE to live in. more
