This place towed my allodial car that was exempt from DMV registration. They did not have probable cause because I had an allodial plate. Further, there was no warrant, no excuse, no reason for the tow and I am suing them in Federal Court for lack of due process, extortion, fraud, and more. Can't believe we have to contend with these unlawful pirates!\r \r Now that I read they also steal from the cars they tow, I'm wondering if any of my things are left. I hate to give them even ONE star, but no choice. more

Girard & Peterson is the best and most honest tow company out there. Their drivers are highly trained and professional, clean, courteous, quick to respond and ethical. I use them to support my fleet of over 350 vehicles. Fast fair and transparent pricing, no fail deliveries. more

My girlfriends car got towed thanks to the Burbank police. When we picked up the car, it had a long scratch on both sides of the car. We showed them the scratches but they said we had no proof they made the scratches. They told us we could sue them if we wanted to. \r Gerard & Peterson is a Police impound tow company and there prices are very high. You would be out of your mind to accually calls these guys yourself to tow a car for you. If you ever get in a accident and the cops want to have your car towed, tell them you have a tow truck on the way already and call any other tow company you can. If you cant think of one, call AAA and ask them to recommend one to you. \r The people that work there have horrible attitudes (having to deal with all the angry people who got there cars towed and then charged an outragious fee) also and you would not want to deal with them unless you had to. more

I have not had the opportunity to use this company myself,but I have been a tow truck driver for 11 years in massachusetts ,and I can say that having a police tow or impound is not cheap. $350 dollars within the first 24 hours of the impound (which was in someone else's review)is not actually a bad price ,a lot of the times the police either set or approve the pricing.but the main reason I'm writing which I thought was funny was did anyone else notice that this is the tow company that was on an episode of Charmed titled the bare witch project it was shown towing a really nice 72 camaro. well good luck to all and just try to remember they are just doing their job.running a tow company,specially with today's diesel prices is not cheap they have huge overhead and 1,000,000 dollar insurance policies that need to be paid,and most of the time it's your fault .no offense ! more

Who are these people that write a so-called "review" & all they do is go on & on about the obvious. Of course if you're a perfect law-abiding citizen whose car has never been impounded, you'll have nothing but good things to say because you don't know anything else! But thank god for others, like me, who are going to write a review from real-life experiences with these lowlifes at Girard-Petersen so that other people know what's really going on...and I'm glad to see (well, not glad...) I'm not the only victim. Yes, my truck got impounded & it was MY own fault...Why would I badmouth a company for doing their job? I was responsible for making sure my registration was paid, not them...But what their job DIDN'T consist of was PILFERING MY TRUCK & STEALING MY LAPTOP & USB MODEM, ALONG WITH A FEW OTHER ITEMS! I can not thank all the guys at Girard Peterson enough. They are professional and friendly. Cars they deal with every day and they are the best. But on July 8th for the city's Centennial event they helped us toe a 1500 lb birthday cake up to Downtown Burbank for the event. They were pros...... They will always be at the top of our list. Please be aware most of the people who are conmplaining about this company's service are DEADBEATS who have their cars towed for not obeying the law! Their cars are towed for drunk driving, driving without a license or without registrations, etc. I guess they think they are special and don't have to follow the law like the rest of us do! A small % have been in an accident and aren't happy to have their car damaged/wrecked, who would be? What they fail to understand that according to the law their wrecked/undriveable cars can't be left on public streets and or wait for some else to show up to tow it. Puiblic street need to be cleared for traffic. This is a company doing a job for the Burbank Police Dept. \r \r Other people think it's ok to park their cars in lots that are very clearly posted parking for "customers only, all others will be towed away." untrusted ,very expensive,my car got towed and they charged me 370 for one day.when i tried to discus the price with one of the employe, he said to me "this price is discounted already"!!! more

I illegally parked my car on the street w/ expired registration, so of course it got impounded by BPD. Girard & Peterson is the official police to company, and while the price is high, its not as ridiculous as ripoff the tow companies that LAPD use...yeah im a repeat offender, anyways it wasnt there fault i was stupid and they assisted in getting my car back as quickly as possible. more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TOWING COMPANY, my car got towed one time and was there for about 1 week and when i got it back, they had gone through ll my personal stuff because it was misplaced ad moved, and i found a cigar inside the back seat and i DONT SMOKE. not only that but i tried being nice and told one of the guys like "Come on man what the hell is this" and he laughed and looked away more

Horrible and abusive people! After an accident, my car was taken to their place and I found several items missing from my vehicle. When I told them about it they just laughed at me. And yes, beware of their fees, they are ridiculously high. They are obvliously protected by Burbank PD. I'm sorry for anyone that has to deal with this corrupt bussiness. I would recommend to avoit it, if possible. more

I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. Beware of this business!!!! They will screw you any chance they get and they have horrible people skills! more
