Great decor, very large restaurant, probably a great date spot.\r \r Food can be inconsistent and sometimes overly rich. Considering this is a Mediterranean restaurant, I expect the balance to be more on the healthy side of rich food... Very limited side dishes accompany the mains, so if you order meat, you'll be eating mostly meat.\r \r I went once and loved it, second time OK, 3rd time not so great, so there are consistency issues. It is quite expensive also. more

My wife and I have visited twice thus far and have had excellent experiences. Each room is very unique and has its own individual charm. There is a lounge for relaxing with friends or secluded rooms for large parties. We have eaten at the bar and main dining floor. The service was very attentive and helped us pair each dish with different wines. We have tried the calamari and roasted peppers. Each was prepared well with calamari being very crisp and tasteful and peppers having slow roasted with perfectly paired spices. \r For our entrees we have had the la plancha scallops, roasted chicken, and boullibaise. The scallops were very large and seared perfectly. The boullibaise is very robust and has large vast of seafood for the money. The chicken is also prepared well but needs to have a side dish of some sort to really put it over the top. \r Overall we have had excellent dining experience each time and we will surely be back again! We have tried Giorgios 3 times and there are still some kinks to work out.\r Our first experience was very good. Best calamari in town - fresh, crisp and perfectly cooked. Fish special was delicious and original. Salad was fantastic and our steak was cooked perfectly.\r 2nd visit was okay. fish was good again, but steak undercooked. they corrected it and next steak was correct temp, but very tough. Calamari was a little soggy - not as crispy as the first time. \r 3rd visit - calamari and burgers. calamari over cooked but still okay. burgers are 2 sliders - very very thick. so much stuff on the buns that the beef slides off. very difficult to eat. one was cooked to correct temp, one way underdone. unusual flavor we couldn't pinpoint. I did not care for them. Hubby was on the fence about them. Neither of us would order again. Def a miss for this menu. the meat is either pre-made (frozen) or way overworked or maybe both. The greens w/ this dish are very good. And unique.\r Service is spotty, but very friendly. Atmosphere is spectacular! The renovation is one like only Giorgio can pull off. Great drink deals in the bar during the week. A ""bar menu"" would help bring in more business to the bar. We will continue to frequent as we are thrilled to have Giorgio back in Cary!
