Gino's Surf

The hall was nice but the staff was very unattentive and very rude. The bride and groom were made promises that were not kept. They destroyed my daughters wedding cake trying to cut and serve it. The top layer was ruined. The staff treated our guests like they were second class citizens. So my advice to anyone planning a wedding or anything you want to have fond memories of...... Book your event somewhere else. There are a lot of nice places out there that will gladly take your money and give you the service you deserve. more

okay well I must say firstly, that the hall is gorgeous, especially with the recent renovations. Our Wedding reception here was the best!! The beautiful ambiance and the attentive, caring staff. our wedding party went over smoothly, worry-free and our guests are still talking 4 mths later about how our reception was the best one they have ever been to. Awesome food. Outside looks a little run down but the new owners have done an awesome job inside and from what I was told they plan on revamping the exterior. For my baby shower we chose to have a very formal get together with all our family and friends. We rented the banquet hall at Ginos and paid in full prior to the event. We asked if we could come a day earlier to decorate with our table centerpieces and they said that would be fine. At around 1 PM we showed up to an empty hall. No one was around so we waited. No one showed up. Had to rush the next day. No apppologies were made by management! Do not choose Ginos. more

We recently had our wedding reception 09/23/06 at Gino's. What can I say, it was truly AMAZING! The food was absolutely outstanding and the atmosphere was incredible. All our guests commented on how beautiful it was. Nothing like having your dinner served with the sun setting over the lake. It was truly beautiful. The staff was so accomodating and wonderful to work with. We had a blast! Thank you Gino's for making our day as wonderful as it possibly could be! I would highly recommend Gino's for any event! more

I happened to find myself at Gino's Surf twice this month, once was last Sunday for my cousin's birthday party and the first time was at the beginning of the month after my neighbor's son's wedding. \r \r We were thrilled with the sunday brunch, as great as the lake view was... the food was even better. They had great selection of seafood, ""land""food, salads and deserts (I think I ate three different kinds of cheesecake). We got there at about 11:30 and with all the visting and eating, we lost track of the time and walked out of there at about 2:15. During the brunch the owner had come over and talked with us for a bit, he said that they are in the process of updating the waterfront with a gazebo and a tiki-bar and they are also changing the back with some new structures and landscaping. \r \r The wedding reception. I had to leave the reception shortly after dinner, but I spoke with my neighbor the day after and she said that her son was thrilled at how everything turned out. For dinner, we had Pasta with Meat Sauce, Green Bean Almondine, Red-Skin potatoes, Chicken Siciliano, Italian-Style Meatballs and Roast Beef (which was carved by one the restaurant's chefs). There were about 250 people going through the buffet line and surprisingly it went fast and smooth. So after a filling dinner and a few ""adult beverages"" I had to head out, but I heard that everyone danced themselves silly for the remainder of the night.\r \r I've had two very good experiences with Gino's. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in a good sunday brunch or interested in holding a wedding reception. more

Went to a wedding there recently. The grounds were discusting. Rusted old fence pieces everwhere at the entrance. Weeds everywhere. Parking lot in shambles. Looked like the place has been shut down for years from the outside. Inside was nice though and the food was delicious. Horrible wait staff and the drinks tasted watered down. Bartender kept telling us to go to the cash bar for most of the ""basic"" drinks. Started taking down the tables before we (the guests) even left! If you have plans to go here.... We had our wedding at Gino's Surf a couple of weeks ago...FASCINATING!! The food was magnificent, the service was great, and the owners of the hall made our wedding experience something we will always remember. Our family and friends were so impressed with the experience that they suggested the hall to a few other couples who were recently engaged, and we can't wait to return for their weddings. My husband and I were so happy with our experience, that we will look back on our memories at Ginos with great fondness for all they did to make our wedding memorable!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! Gino's has a long way to go to become a leading wedding reception venue. The service was terrible and the staff was rude. They told us one thing and then changed it the next day. It is hard to have a nice wedding reception when the hall doesn't know what they are doing. Very disorganized. I will not book another function there! No matter what size.
