Stopped in at several locations, cakes are good but I was very disappointed to find out that the majority of the cakes are all made from mix-yes there are multiple variations and flavor additives, but nothing any good home baker couldn't do on their own. And yes, there are some cakes that are made from scratch - but one of the bakers confirmed the majority of the cakes are from either white cake mix or devil's food cake mix, with clever wording on the menu to cause the consumer to believe each cake flavor is individually made from scratch. The frosting does look nice, but there is far too much of it and quite a waste to have to scrape it off to get to the cake. Also disappointed to find out the German chocolate frosting is not made from scratch but is ordered by the bucket. My associates and I purchased two dozen to take to our tasting and while some were fine, others were dry and none of us were ""wowed"" by these cakes. Another disappointment is the daily ""specials"". These are simply unsold, left over cake from the prior day, decorated and sold at full price. I wish them well, but will pass on Gigi's in the future.
