The florals provided by Gertie Mae's for my daughter's wedding and reception were elegant and tastefully done. Sherry and her staff were a pleasure to work with. Sherry is also a great wedding coordinator - firm but fun. She handled it all which allowed me to enjoy my daughter's special. Many of our guests expressed delight with the ambience of the event. My daughter was married Oct. 6 at Glenn Ella Springs Inn near Clarkesville. Gertie Mae's handled not only the flowers but wedding coordinator role as well. We were more than pleased for the professional and personal service we received. The flowers were beautiful with a seasonal theme. The colors and texture in each bouquet and arrangement were unique, designed by a true artist. When I had to order flowers for a funeral in Toccoa, Georgia, not being from the area, I didn't know where to start. I didn't want to order them from just anyone, since it was for the mother of a friend of mine, I wanted to know that the arrangements were going to be something special. After consulting Citysearch, I came across Gertie Mae's and read the reviews. I was very impressed with what I read and decided to give them a call. I'm glad I did. I was so impressed with their service, from beginning to end. They are truly professionals. They were very friendly and helpful, aiding me in chosing just the right arrangements. I was especially impressed when I finally got to see what the arrangements looked like. They were perfect--abolutely beauftiful--I couldn't have been more pleased. My daughter was married a year ago. As we reflect, we remember the beautiful bouquet my daughter carried and the flowers for decorations that were delivered, set up, and moved from church to reception. Located in an old corner gas station, you just don't find a place like this in some strip mall. This shop has great flowers, not a typical florist. Also has other small gift items. They are friendly and helpful. There is a nice shop just behind Gertie Mae's that has gourmet foods and wine... Clarkesville is a great stop for anyone pasing through the area, there are a number of small shops and restraunts to explore. Gertie Mae's is one of the worst places to visit. The people their are rude and care nothing about their customers. She may have some nice things, but the service is terrible. I will never go back to that place and recommend that no one else goes either. Cons: no parking, limited selection more
