Gentle Dental Irvine

i have recently changed my insurance and was referred to this office because it was close to my home.funny enough i too was told i need irrigation! i guess it's bc the money goes straight to their pockets,but that's not my major issue. the billing people are dishonest,they gave me a totally wrong price list which was 1/2 the actual prices and if i had not checked it with my insurance before the treatment, they would have shocked me after the treatment by the door AND have asked for a Full payment of $3000-$4000 on the same day.have you ever heard of a medical/dental facility that doesn't bill it's patients?! come on, how $$$$ oriented can you be!they made me wait TWO hours,although i had an appointment...the list goes on & on .\r STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE,THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THE PATIENT. more

Please do not visit Gentle Dental. Their office is full of young, foreigners who have no desire to please the patients, but rather their own pocketbooks. My teeth are great, but I have yet to make a visit where they don't tell me how I need this "new treatment", or a costly "irrigation" or even that I have gum disease! I am in my early thirties and have a decent set of choppers. My husband's teeth are even better as he just got his first cavity at age 31 - but suddenly he has "very serious gum disease" because he bleeds a little when he flosses. Who DOESN'T bleed a little now and then when they floss? The point is, every time you go in for a routine check-up, they try to upsell you for costly treatments which are totaly unnecessary. We got a second opinion (of course) and my husband does NOT have gum disease or anything even remotely close to it. THIS OFFICE IS DISHONEST! Go somewhere else. You'll be glad you did. more

I made an appointment with this dental group because, they were closest to my home and on my new dental insurance plan. I advised the receptionist that I needed a cleaning.\r Once I arrived they insisted that I also needed full x rays.\r After the xrays the hygienist examined my teeth then I met with the denitist Dr. Michelson. Immediately after the dentist advised me that I needed about 385 dollars worth of additional work. (Including 2 cleanings, an antibacterial irragation, and a mouth piece). I asked the office manager if I could just have the cleaning and she stated that they can only do what the dentist has recommended. I then refused any further treatment. After calling my insurance I was advised by the insurance company that these DMO providers are paid on a monthly basis per patient. Therefore they are not paid by the services covered and rendered to me but, rather a monthly rate. Therefore any additional work I might need that is recommended and is not covered I must pay. Recently went to this dentist because my dental insurance was with them. Pleasantly surprised that the appointment started on time. Staff was friendly and efficient. The dentist also put me at ease as he explained what he was doing every step of the way. Definitley recomment this place for teeth cleaning. The business was also clean and well maintained. more

Great service. I normally dont' like to go to the dentist and feel very nervous when it comes to it, but the doctors do a great job of making you less nervous. They tell you exactly what they are doing and are very patient. more
