Interesting 7/1/2006

I went here once because a friend loved it and I thought it was okay. We had the spaghetti on a pizza crust and salad on a pizza crust. It was a pretty nice location, family friendly and the food was pretty good. I'm not sure I'd rush to go there again, but I don't have a bad memory of it. more

Used to be Better, now okay... 6/30/2006

This place used to be a lot better when it had two locations on Little River Turnpike. Now it is only located in the old, original location. The facility is actually quite big and in the basement, there are always parties and rehearsal dinners. Expect a long wait and the food is different but so-so. Go with something unusual and you will be happy. The decor is very crazy with bright colors and lots of vintage/eBay-like stuff everywhere. more

This place is a fun place. It is very loud in here. It doesn’t bother me but for some they don’t enjoy this type of atmosphere. I lot of people bring their kids here, it has a very friendly family environment. They specialize in pizza and pasta. You can even get your pasta served on top a slice of pizza. more

Great for Large Groups 4/11/2006

my family and I have gone here on several occasions in really large groups. They have always been able to accomodate us and it has been a really family friendly restaurant. If your kids start screaming, you would never even notice it since there tend to be so many other kids around. I have also gone with just a few people and not felt so in your face with kids. i think they do a decent job balancing the large groups and families with the smaller crowds. The food is decent and not a bad price. I would recommend some of their pizzas especially their specialty ones--they are excellent! You are surely in for an experience as the crazy colors and festive atmosphere...quite a positive place! more

A different type of meal 4/7/2006

This place has some interesting items. The restaurant is located off Duke Street in Alexandria. I like getting the combination plates here. The pizza and pasta go so well together. This is a very unusual entrée but trust me it tastes great. Generous George’s is really a one of kind place. more

This place, as the name indicates, specializes in pizza and pasta. This restaurant is not for the Atkins friendly dietary. Even if you are trying to stay away from carbs you need to have dinner once in awhile to feed your cravings. This place makes wonderful pizza and pasta dishes. This is a fun little place. more

This place makes some sweet sub. I’m addicted to the steak and cheese, don’t ask me why but the taste of the greasy sub is to die for. The ingredients are all perfect together. This is a great bargain and one of my dirty little treats every once in a while. You should give this place a chance, the food here is all tasty. more

Generous George's is small restaurant located on Duke Street. This place has ample seating and serves some great family food. I’m a big fan of they way they prepare their fabulous steak and cheese sub. It is a nice place to get a very filling meal for not a lot of money. Check out their pizza, it is very good. more

Fabulous pizza, but have plenty of time 8/23/2005

Generous George's is not a place to get in and out of on a quick lunch break. They never seem to get the pizza done quickly, no matter how busy they are. However, if you have the time, the pizza is well worth the wait, as are their subs. The place has a wild decor, too, and is good for keeping children occupied until the food gets there. Large seatingf area, and plenty of soda refills. more
