I am new to this area and needed a primary care physician. I was told Dr. Gardner accepted my insurance and was taking new patients. I made an appointment for my initial visit, but the soonest he could fit me into his schedule was 2 1/2 months later. Two business days prior to my appointment I was called by his office staff and told ""Dr. Gardner is not accepting new patients now and we have canceled your appointment. I am very sorry."" No referral to another doctor or any concern that I had been waiting over 2 months to see him. As another health professional, I find this highly unprofessional. I would not refer anyone to him as I believe this may reflect his general attitude towards patients.
