It had been a while since we’ve traveled through Newark Airport. We had just enough time in between flights to have dinner at our favorite airport dining destination, Garden State Diner (a 50s style diner located in Terminal C, which is where most international flights depart). They are used to people having to move quickly, so service is fast and efficient. Sometimes it's quiet there, sometimes it's packed. Generally we have breakfast, which they serve all day. On our most recent trip where we shared a Monte Cristo sandwich. They have club sandwiches, big salads, and lots of things you'd expect at a diner (like ice cream floats). They have big cups of rice pudding to go and unexpected treats. The food is good for an airport establishment, and the atmosphere is fun.
