My husband and I went to purchase a bedroom set for our son. We went to the store and was told that we could get an excellent deal on a bedroom set. They were have a sale. The sales clerk stated that he would check at the warehouse to see if they had the set we were interested in so that it could be delivered on 07/18. Just out luck, probably to good to be true, it was in stock. So the delivery date and time was set. The 18th came and no furniture was delivered. Not even a phone call to say why noe delivery. My husband went into the store and was told that they didn't have any trucks for delivery and that she would give us a call on 07/22. Again, no phone call, nothing. So, we went to the store on 07/24 to inquire why we hadn't received our merchandise. When we entered the store, we could see a couple already at the counter with an already frustrated look on their faces. A clerk asked if she could help us and I proceeded to tell her our story. She asked if we had a receipt. While looking us up on the computer, I overheard another clerk tell the couple that it was in the warehouse and that they could go pick it up for themselves. The couple stated that they had driven an hour already to check on the status of their merchandise and it has been two(2) months since they made the purchase and now you are telling them that they have to pick up their own merchandise. I interjected a question as to why during the two(2) month time didn't anyone feel they need to give the customer a call to inform them of the status of their order. Another clerk stated that the only thing that they do is make the sales to the customer and then it goes to their administrative office and is handled from there. And that they may have given them a call to update the status but it is not done from the store. I told him that may be the case for the couple next to us, but my husband physically came into the store and was told that he would receive a call. He had no answer for me. They tried to dance around the whole issue. Both myself and the lady from the couple next to me left the store and they continued to talk to our husbands. They told my husband that they would give him a call the next with a solution. My husband did receive a few calls from the assistant store manager. We went to the store and just informed him that we wanted a refund and didn't want the merchandise that we never received. He stated that he a few of the pieces in the warehouse but not everything but he could get the rest in the same collection but different style and would be able to deliver it on 07/28. He stated that he would give us free delivery, have them set it up, and remove all waste from the site. At this point , I just want to no longer do business with this merchant. He then informed us that he couldn't give us a refund it would have to be a store credit. He pointed out in the refund policy that the order had to be cancelled within 72 hours of the receipt being written. It also states that no refunds are given if the merchandise has left the showroom or has been delivered. NO DELIVERY OF MERCHANDISE. He was still stuck on the 72 hour statement. I asked that he go higher than himself. He stated that he would try. He sent an email to the corporate office to request a refund. I requested a copy of the email he was supposedly sending to corporate and he informed me that he couldn't allow me to have a copy it was against corporate policy but gave me a website to go to to see what he had requested. He is to contact us today, 07/26, with a response to that email. We have still yet to receive our son's bedroom set. Never again in my life will I ever shop with this company.
