Fujiya Japanese Restaurant

I have been to both Fujiya and Lucky Key and love them both. I have only eaten sushi at Fujiya and always enjoy it. I have not had any problem with service. The hostess was polite and efficient. The waitress was great despite the language barrier. I also enjoy the manager (or owner) a lot- she has great personality. My sushi is always good (I have never had unfresh sushi there). It's no MF Sushi but if you want good, affordable sushi this is the place! Pros: good food, good prices more

My family LOVES this place. Forget the inspection score, the food is great!! I have never had the chinese but the sushi and the haibachi is so good! When we first started going, we limited ourselves to 1 or 2 meats and fried rice. Now, we get 3 or 4 meats, fried rice, fried noodles, & sushi!! For a three person family, that will run you about $80+ but it is soooooo good and we always eat off the meal for 2 or more days. Last time we went, we got free ice cream after dinner. And since we are becoming regulars, we see alot of familiar faces...we called them our Fuji Ya friends. This place is way better than Benihana's anyday. My only grip is that only some of the cooks actually put on a show for you...it may all be a personality thing but some are really boring and others are really good showmen. more

They have good food but the service is BAD! Some of the waiters are short with you. I am not sure if its because of the language barrier, but the guys that cook your food at the tables are generally nice and funny. Its just the wait staff I have the problem with. But try it if you can get past the service, and perhaps you may get there on a good night when the service is ok. more

I think the sushi is good. We've been going there for years b/c it's convenient to get sushi and we like the soup but, the service is bad. I recoommend ordering take out instead of going through the experience of bad service. The last review that detailed out what the service was like slow rude, ect. I hate to say this but, that's our experience as well. Pros: good sushi and good soup in Northlake Cons: rude servers, slow, consistnely forgetful and not nice more

I just moved to this area, and try to find the restaurants around our place. My girlfrind and i love asian food. So we give them a try. We went to their sushi section, We are impressed by thier menu - great selection (Chinese, Sushi and Habachi) and reasonable price. However the services are really bad, ""unfriendly staffs"", ""poor attitude"", ""negative language"", and slow service (even they are not busy). The food are low quality (in sushi section, i didn't try chinese and habachi but i don't think i gonna go back and try them) . I ordered sushi set (lunch NO.7) which was used low quality fish and they are NOT FRESH at all. Their fried rice not even hot. Next time if i want sushi, i'd better go to KROGER!! Pros: If you want sushi, KROGER is not far !! Cons: Poor services, Bad attitude and Low quality food !! more
