I went to Fry's Electronics today intent on buying a refrigerator they had advertised. A ""half-asleep"" sales rep (he was yawning) named, Sal, looked up the item and told me they did not have it in stock. I asked him to check another store. He spent the next 20 minutes checking the computer and calling another store to locate the product. He hung up and said he'll be right back to get me a rain-check. Another 20 minutes past and I found him chatting away with a female customer (looked more like he was drooling). I asked him for a status. He said he can't reach the manager. I said, ""..I've been here for over 40 minutes, when were you planning on telling me?"" He shrugged and said he's doing the best he can (like, ""Who's John Galt""). more

Bought computer in Dec 2009, with warranty salesman stated better than HP warranty because will back and fix in store. purchased warranty ( Big Mistake ) computer started shutting self off. contacted HP since under warranty. unable to fix without sending in and unable to back up. before sending to hp I took to fry's since I had a warranty. cost me 75.00 to have backup made. then they checked computer and said nothing was wrong cost me 69.99 plus tax to get it back. opened computer and seen where they installed some software to check computer when i ran it it flashed FAILED. called HP and got chewed out. and was told send computer to them it is under warranty and they will fix as promised. Will never purchase anything from FRY'S again Cons: Not worth the paper written on more

They charged me $149.00 to tell me that they could not gain access to my computer. The $149.00 was supposed to be the cost of backing up my files 12/9/2007

The $149.00 was supposed to be the cost of backing up my files, not the cost of turning on my computer and telling me that they could not get access. I have filed this complaint and I want to see their response when they explain that services are non-rufundable even if services can't be offered. Pros: Great selection of merchandise Cons: customer relations and problem resolution more
