In Short
Trophy rainbows tipping the scales at 15 pounds inhabit this tailwater fishery that's considered a national shrine by fly anglers. Rotund rainbows garner the most attention, but the Fryingpan also holds 20-inch brown trout. Mysis imitators below the dam are a mainstay pattern. Try smaller nymphs in the upper river section, and stoneflies and conventional tackle in the lower reaches.
