This place rocks! I had the best pizza ever, their sandwiches and salads are very close behind. Boasting about 75 beers is hard to do, with 26 on tap! The service was great too. ...

NO RESPECT TO CUSTOMERS 6/24/2008

I just had one of the most horrible encounters here at frog and firkin. I was celebrating my birthday with 7 friends and when we were done eating we had to split the check. THEY REFUSE TO DO SEPARATE CHECKS so we had to calculate the individual amounts ourselves, which took us a while. The bartender (supposed manager) began yelling directly at me because we took so long. He embarrassed me and condescendingly asked me if I knew my multiplication tables. RUDEST EMPLOYEE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. He also mistreated and demeaned my friend. DO NOT EAT THERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED RESPECTFULLY. more

Horrible Service avoid this place 6/9/2008

I have been there twice and last time was worse than the first I will definately not return. First our ditzy watiress disappeared, so after a half an hour I went to the bar to order a drink, the bartender responded that I had to order from the waitress, I said that I did about 30 minutes ago, to that he responded that if I didn't like it to go someplace else. Unbelievable! So I left and went next door to No Anchovies where the service was good and so were the prices. The only reason that Frog is even open is because of its location the staff is horrible. Pros: location Cons: Service Price more

Best BURGER in town, coming from a Tucson native! 7/29/2007

The Frog does not sport much seating, which is usually not a big deal in Tucson, but it certainly could use more room at the bar. Apart from the name, and dark wood bar there isn't much English about it. But it has THE BEST BURGER in town! Absolutely AMAZING! I also have found the service to be very attentive, and food is prepared quickly. more

English Pub??? 10/19/2006

Just because you have Britian's flag hang all over the place doesn't make you an English Pub. The food is terrible and the beer isn't all that much to rave about. more

Worst food, Service, and Atmosphere in Tucson, Yuck!! 8/12/2006

There are plenty of fun places in Tucson with much better food, ie. Gentle Ben's, Risky Business, Nimbus Brewery, Maloney's, etc. Therefore, there is no good reason to go to Frog and Firkin unless you want to waste your Firkin' money. Ugggghh... A. It has no atmospere for a supposedly British-style pub B. Their rubbery crust and grease-soaked pizza is worse than Domino's, it puts the "ish" in "British". Is pizza British? I guess F&F think so. C. It has no sitting room and you'll be shoulder to shoulder with strangers if there are 10+ people in the bar D. The service is very poor and inattentive. the waitress didn't listen when we cancelled a drink order while she was still at our table and looking directly at us. E. Management is horrendous and apparently doesn't like customers. He believed the server and made us pay for the drink we didn't order F. Oh, yeah...the parking situation, or lack therof, is disappointing Pros: Hmm, can't think of any Cons: Too many to list. more

Not a good place for Shooting Pool 10/4/2005

I went on a Monday night with my cousin and discovered they did indid have a pool table. It was a bit of a joke the bar put one in because it was very crowded with furniture and we had to keep moving chairs around to get a shot off. The best part of my experience was the Firkin Cheeseburger. Very tasty and juicy. I also enjoyed having my drink outside on the big patio. Pros: Firkin Burger, Patio Cons: Overcrowded more

Firkin Good Time 6/28/2005

This place rocks! I had the best pizza ever, their sandwiches and salads are very close behind. Boasting about 75 beers is hard to do, with 26 on tap! The service was great too. My wife and I will be locals at this place from now on. Pros: Beer, Pizza, Margaritas Cons: None more

You must love poor service! 8/15/2004

With terrible service and marginable food< I have no idea why anyone would frequent this place. With out their fair selection of beers, this place wouldn't make it. They need to get the local beer in their place like the place next door to them did at the very least. It might improve the place. Pros: Beer Cons: , Food, Atmosphere more

Poor service at a high price 3/15/2004

Of the half dozen or so times I've been to Frog & Firkin I have experienced high prices and extremely poor service. If you are ever there with a party of five or more the add a 20% gratuity to the bill, which makes the service even worse. Their $7 sandwiches and $4 pints of beer are not nearly as a good a deal as most places on University Blvd. I for one will never go back!!! Pros: Beer Selection, Lots of TVs, Outdoor Patio Cons: , Price, Food Quality more

what a blast 1/24/2003

I had a great time at frog and firkin. I was with a big party and even though there were alot of us the service was fantastic! i think the pizza is some of the best i have ever had. i would recomend it to any one!! Pros: Lots of beer choices Cons: no local beer more

Don't bother. 12/1/2002

The only reason the Frog & Firkin is still open is it's proximity to the university. The food is lousy and the service is worse. Pizza? Even by Tucson standards it's bad. I've given the F&F 2 chances to redeem itself. It failed. more

Killer pizza! 11/5/2002

I was visiting relatives in Tucson when I stubled across this place. Great atmosphere and super friendly service. Enjoyed the nice weather and the BEST freakin' pizza I've ever had on the front patio. We even came back the next day on the way out of town to get some to go! more

Still one of the greatest in Tucson. 8/15/2002

The Frog is a great place to relax and drink a nice COLD beer... I hear the new ownership redid the tap system. The food is great too... Close to campus, but it's not all college students all the time. It's good for locals too! They sometimes have good music... jazz and bluegrass Pros: food is good, international beers!, friendly staff Cons: sometimes crowded more

The Frog Prince 7/18/2002

The Frog is my favorite place to just hang out. Great muncies and tons of beers keeps us busy all night. They have great big tables for a large group to crowd around, with misters and heat lamps so the temperature is always perfect. The best though is the bands that play. Very cool and very diversified, they have something for everyone! Pros: Great Bands, Best Fries, Big Tables Cons: bad service on wkdays, small bathroom, Only one pool table more

  • The Scene
This little pub has managed to carve its own niche in the undistinguished University of Arizona market. The converted house has seen countless bars come and go, but it seems to have found stability in this Brit-inspired pub. The atmosphere is relaxed, as the college crowd mixes with older folk. It's much more easygoing than other UA area bars.

    The Booze
The Firkin's beer selection is impressive and includes British favorites Caffery's, Fullers and John Courage on tap. Service is friendly and uniformly excellent.

    While You're There
The food is surprisingly tasty and the pizza is some of Tucson's best. Local bands often grace the outdoor patio area, playing everything from ska to Irish music, but always with a twist. A nominal cover charge of a few bucks gets you in on band nights.
