I am not a big fan of the Friendly's chain of restaurants. I have been to this one on a few occasions in the past 5 years and have never been satisfied when I left. While they can be fun for just ice cream, I find that the experience isn't worth the time. The service here is lacking. They are slow to seat you, slow to serve you and just not very good for service all around. This is not based on one experience, this is based on about 5 or 6 visits.
One time I went to the window to grab ice cream because I didn't feel like waiting forever for a scoop while dining in. There is a sign by the window that says, "If you do not get a receipt please mention it and you will receive a gift certificate." I did not receive a receipt and mentioned it to the girl. She didn't have a clue what I was talking about and went to the manager. The manager asked her why she didn't give me a receipt and she said, "Because she only got two ice creams." As if I shouldn't expect the best service because I am only getting two ice creams. The manager was annoyed, but it seemed like it was more at me than at the server!!
I would NOT recommend this location of Friendly's to anyone! There are many other good places around to eat at.
