I have never felt so taken advantage of in my life until I purchased a bridal gown for the French Door Bridal. \r \r I purchased a dress on a Saturday and was told I would be able to return the gown with in a business day. I left the gown at the store as they would not let me take it home if I wanted them to do alterations (By the way they charge $50 to ""store"" your dress even though you are having them alter it and they need to steam and do a quality check) When I came to the store on Monday morning shortly after they opened to return the gown I was told I could not return the gown period. Once I pointed out that it said in writing within 24hrs I was told that the store is open on Sunday. I stated that I called and received no answer and was told I should have tried back. I admitted fault to the owner that I made a mistake and didn't realize they were opened on Sunday and begged for a small exception considering the honest mistake and the fact that the gown never left the store and all they were out was 4 hours of allowing other brides to try it on, in addition I was happy to pay their $100 cancelation fee and told them how much I still need for my bridal party etc. I was told that any future business I could bring to the store was minimal in comparison as he ""quite frankly"" did not need the gown back on the racks and thus would not be refunding the money. \r \r It was just a poor business interaction. I was given no options, no empathy and I was met with a sorry but no. The owner void of feeling and seemed only interested in the already completed sale, nothing after that mattered. \r \r So later that same day, after I had calmed down, I figured I would take the gown home to try and sell it and asked for the $50 storage fee back as they were not going to be storing this dress for me and was again met with a no as the dress was stored from Saturday at 1:30pm- Monday at 11 am. After reading through the materials more thouroughly it says, which was never disclosed when talking about the cost of alterations that they charge you $50 per fitting....on top of your alteration costs.\r \r As I have shared this awful interaction with just about everyone I know I have gotten some much worst feedback/stories from other former brides. The general concensus was once they have your money you don’t matter anymore. One of these ladies shared that after her purchase, the store had ordered a knock off dress form China as for some reason they were not able to get the dress she ordered and tried to pass it off to her that way, and on top of everything apparently still refused to refund her!!!!! If that’s true WOW, maybe I shouldn’t feel so cheated. \r \r There are 3 complaints on the better business bureau against this business just in the past three years. Can you imagine how many people just didn’t report them!!! My opinion is; Do your-self a favor, save your-self the stress and don’t shop there. \r \r I feel they were Deceitful, with hidden fees and no care for the customer once they have your money.\r more
