A Great Church 2/10/2012

We've attended Fremont for decades. The 1,200-person congregation is made up of people from all kinds of backgrounds and perspectives who truly like and care for each other. Members are also eager to make space for new attenders in Christ's name. The church is a healthy, united congregation -- enthusiastic about its faith. Its pastoral and lay leadership has been particularly strong over the past 10 years. When it comes to matters of faith, Fremont certainly doesn't browbeat people. But it doesn't shy away from communicating what it believes to be the truth either. Fremont is traditional in its understanding of the Bible, meaning that members affirm that the Bible is God's word to be trusted and obeyed, even if that places us at odds with our culture sometimes. Members also affirm that Jesus Christ's death on the cross was necessary to save every person from their sin. Faith in the resurrected Christ is the only path to know and enjoy God. Repentance from sin is held as one of the marks of an authentic Christian faith. All of this may seem outdated to some, but it is fully consistent with nearly 2,000 years of Christian history. Fremont demonstrates a heavy public service emphasis, including by tutoring kids at Earl Warren Elementary, hosting a basketball league for hundreds of children, ministering alongside native Ethiopians, presenting an outstanding Christmas concert (attended by thousands of Sacramento residents), spending more than 10% of its total revenues on external missions, etc. Fremont Presbyterian isn't perfect, because those of us who attend aren't perfect, but we are seeking to be faithful to Christ as our Lord and Savior. We would be glad to have have you join us any time. more

Something for Everyone 5/19/2009

I became a member at Fremont after looking for a church home in Sacramento for 5 years. When I joined, I was unmarried and am now married with 2 children. As both a single person and a parent, I found lots to do and be involved in at Fremont. I feel that God led me to this church! The people at Fremont are welcoming and wonderful. more

Great church! 3/11/2009

They preach it straight from the Gospel. Sometimes that feels good other times it's convicting, but the church has taken a stand on the authority of scripture and that has some not too happy. But of you want a scripture based, Christ lead church Fremont is the one! more

Fabulous church! 3/11/2009

My family and I started attending Fremont about three years ago. We have never been so embraced and loved at a church as at Fremont. We attend the 9AM service which is more traditional. The Sermons are Biblical based and right on the money. The Sermons are the same in the two services, but if you are looking for more of a modern/praise style then the 11AM service is for you. If you like hymns the (AM is where you want to be. I can not say enough good things about the children's program's, jr and senior high and the rest. The programs offered have something for everyone and are fabulous! more

I wouldn't bother attending this church 2/15/2009

This church doesn't preach the gospel, instead they preach feel good theology. I'd pass and find a different place of worship. more

Not So Great... 4/16/2006

I attended this church one time a few months ago and was highly disappointed. I am very religious and expect to learn new things when attending church. However, there was no real religious teaching during the assembly. Instead, it was just a big, hour-long, singalong with the words projected onto a large screen big enough for everyone to see. If I wanted to sing, I would turn on the radio or iTunes. more

Fremont Presbyterian Church 4/16/2006

I recently just started attending this church after a long absence and all I have to say is this is one of the best churches in the Sacramento area. The church provides 2 services, the traditional service at 9 AM I believe and the contemporary service starts at 11 AM. This church is huge and offers so much; from daycare service for children to even a Java City inside to cater to your caffeine needs. This is a great church and I can't emphasize how welcoming the people really are. Everyone is so nice and kind in showing you a wonderful experience. The contemporary service is led by a praise and worship team that does an excellent job leading us in praise songs and the pastor is great as well. This church is truly one of a kind, whether you're religious or not and just want to check it out this is a unique experience that anyone can enjoy. more
