Fred Meyer

If you have a Fred Meyer Rewards card you can buy gas at Fred Meyer. The card is free and the gas is usually about 3 cents below other gas stations. Additionally, for every $100 you spend in a month, you can fill up once for 10 cents off per gallon. So, for example, last month I spent around $400 at Fred Meyer, so I can fill up 4 times at 10 cents off their already low price. If you think about it, it's only a savings of $1.50 or so, but every little bit helps. more

The very best thing about Fred Meyer is their Play Land. The day my youngest turned 2 and was able to go into Play Land was a happy day indeed. Nothing like roaming the store for 1 hour in complete solitude. It's a beautiful thing! The second best thing I love about Fred Meyer is their great prices. I can always find deals in produce and on dairy and more. Plus, they have their coupons out in the front of the store, so if you don't get the paper, you can pick their weekly coupon section up right there. I have to also mention in this section that I enjoy their club card, which does NOT give one the sale prices, like so many other store club cards. It gives a rebate based on how much money you've spent in a certain time period. What a concept!! The third thing I love about Fred Meyer is their amazing selection. When I finish grocery shopping and still have 30 minutes left with the kids at Play Land, I love looking at clothes or Home Decor and I often end up finding a little something I can't live without. Also, because of their huge selection, I can buy paint, eggs, tennis shoes, and a toy with out having to go to 4 different stores. I also need to mention how much I enjoy their self check-out. Sometimes, it's nice to do it myself, especially when the lines are long at the other check out counters, which really isn't all that often. And last, but not least, Fred Meyer has very helpful and friendly employees. It's my favorite place to shop. more
