Are you into art or have a creative mind or way of thinking. Well If you live in Norman you know there is not much to do. I used to go to the Fred Jones Art Museum all the time. Haven't been there in a while but really look forward to getting back into the groove. This is such a nice museum right on OU campus. They just recently remodled it. It is nicer than ever. They have wonderful pictures and paintings. It is really and interesting place to go. Best part of it is its free. I belive they take donations. And usually there is no one in there when you go except for security. They like to watch you and make sure you don't touch anything. This is a perfect place to visit. more

Great Museum 9/21/2005

Fred Jone's Museum is at the heart of Oklahoma University and it holds some wonderful exhibits. The most common type of art is Native American which includes sculptures, paintings, and other interpretations. There is a wall dedicated to foreign masks which is very captivating. This museum is free for students and costs a small amount for visitors, but it is worth the trip! more

Great Exhibits 9/20/2005

The Fred Jones art museum has some great permanent collections of native american and Pueblos of the Southwest art. They also have some very interesting and rare special exhibits. This is a wonderful place to learn about native american art as well as the works of the masters. This is a great place to spend the day. more
