Sadly Let Down 4/24/2013

I hate to do this, but I must tell about my horrible time at Foster Veterinary Clinic. \r Ms. Hatton simply seems much more concerned with her pocket then the animals in her care. I have a dog with severe allergies and each time I brought the dog in, she would sneak in vaccinations that I did not ask for, that my dog was at serious risk of having a reaction to. \r The prices are nearly double that of the new vet I have chosen, whose services are much higher quality. I gave Foster Vet many chances, and was consistantly dissapointed. I overpaid to have my dog misdiagnosed for fairly simple injuries. \r Each time I visited, there were hidden charges, unneccessary tests done, and severe over-charging for the quality of care. \r When Ms. Hatton took the practice over from Mr. Gorham, she was wonderful, considerate, and educated. Since that time, I feel as though she has gotten greedy and lost compassion for the animals in her care. I hope that in the future she chooses to do better by her custo more

test for ear mites?? 10/25/2012

Im sure they are great Vets, however, should a Vet. need a test to determine if a cat has ear mites? more

Excellent! 6/24/2011

Dr.Hattan and her team have provided our pets excellent care for the past several years. I now live in North Kingstown, RI and we still drive the 45 minutes up to Foster for the fantastic care we receive. more

The best Vet period! 12/24/2010

Dr Hattan and her staff are first class, very personable, and caring. Almost 2 years ago my Sadie (female Lab) had arthritis so bad she had to be helped to get off the floor. Dr. Hattan suggested giving her shots of a med. to see if it would help. Let me say it brought Sadie to enjoy life once again, she was a very active dog and love to play. Everything was great until 12/11/10, when she had to be put down due to cancer. Dr Hattan and her staff helped me out so much to get through a difficult time, much more that I could have expected. Dr Hattan and Steve gave me a hug as I was really upset when Sadie passed. They stayed with me for a while which really helped me cope with my loss, talking about the good times I had with my best friend. Ruth was so nice with her comforting words as well. Over the past 12 years they have been taking care of my two dogs and have been great. I would never go to another vet, period! I'm in the process of adopting a rescue dog and the first stop is Foster more

Foster Veterinary Clinic is heart warming 10/21/2009

Dr. Hattan is a great Vet! I have been going to her for a very long time. A few years back my dog had bone cancer and had to be put down. Dr. Hattan was 9 months pregnant and expecting at the time. The day I brought my dog I did not expect her there and she was. She gave me plenty of time with my dog for his last moments as well as after he had past. She cried with me like she loved the dog as her own. It was so heartw arming to see this with her. She went in the hospital that same day to give birth to her child. To me it was like one soul was lost and another reborn. I know that usually applies to humans but my dog was my best friend. She completely understood that because she too has dogs. Thank you Dr. Hattan! You are the best! more

Foster Veterinary Clinic is not open on Monday's 7/6/2009

They are very pleasant and competent,They do care alot for animals. I think they are a bit on the greedy side, sometimes trying to sell tests and meds to animals that don't really need them, but the overall service is good, however they are closed Mondays which is a real inconvenience. more

Foster vet dr hattan and staff 1/1/2008

Dr Hattan and her staff is the best vet I found 7 years ago.We had a vet that was only 5 min from my house.Due to the fact that my dog did not get better I went on a vet hunt .I landed here.Dr Hatten been taken care of my dogs as if they were her own children. There are not just a file or a nr.She has safed my dogs life after a rabies shot.As well when he got a parvo shot. She will space the shots out on smaller dogs.It is very hard to find a vet that can get blood out of a 3.5 lb dog in the arm well she can.Her fees jumped a bit over the last 2 years but that is ok with me.She will be my vet forever. I had a shitzu she was close to 21 years of age. I could not bring my self to play god.Dr hatten helped me as long as she could .However 1 week before Christmas the bad news came. She is a very compacted person. I dropped down as this dog was my buddy.Even Dr Hatten had tears The staff or Dr hatten will keep you informed on everything if you pet has to stay or has any other needs. They also w more

Worth much more than they charge 5/29/2007

I absolutely LOVE the entire staff at Foster Veterinary Clinic. Being obsessive "Mommy" that I am towards my pets, it's nice to see them handled with such care and concern. It doesn't hurt that their fees are the cheapest around. There are at least 2 other Veterinarians more than 1/2 the distance away, but I love this place. It's the only people I trust with my puppies. more

Good Vet! 11/10/2005

Dr. Hattan is very good with the animals and can always find time to fit you in or take a phone call from a nervous "parent". She is helpful and careful not to recommend products or procedures that would be costly or unnecessary. She is careful not to make the cost of caring for your pets so high that you would be unwilling or reluctant to bring them in for treatment or for routine care. Dr. Hattan will take the time to call you with an update on your pet after surgery or even if just being kept overnight for observation. You always know that you are leaving them in good hands and they will be well cared for. Office visits will not cost you an arm and a leg as is the case with most veterinary services. Even surgical procedures will not leave you running to the bank for a refinance. I was shocked when I rushed my pet to an area animal hospital one evening and ended up with a $240 bill for a 5 minute consultation, one x-ray, and an injection. I was there maybe 45 minutes to an ho more
