beautful golf course! 12/20/2008

this course is absolutely gorgeous and always has a little different surprise waiting for you on the next hole. about 15-20 driving range spots and gps on the carts. the gps computers on the carts also allow you to call the clubhouse for assistance or pre-order some food so it's ready for you when you get done with the front 9. a little pricey at somewhere around $100 during the summer but well worth it if you have the money more

Highly Recommended 1/10/2008

If you want to play a normal, boring golf course. Don't go here. This place is one of a kind w/tons of character, great conditions and is tremendous fun to play. Biggest issue is getting a tee time as they sell out everyday - says it all. Had a steak in their restaurant after play - tasty to say the least. Great menu and a pretty decent wine list, especially for a golf course. Sit on the deck, enjoy the view and bet on who hits the 18th green about 100 feet below you. Truly an awesome golf experience. more

    Both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine voted the club as one of the Top 10 new golf courses to play in the country in 2003. ESPN.com named Fossil Trace as the Best Golf Course in Denver in 2006-2008. The golf course opened to the public 64-million years after the first dinosaurs walked where holes 11 through 15 now sit. Triceratops footprints, as well as other prehistoric creatures' fossils can be viewed adjacent to the 12th green. "Teri," as she is affectionately called, is a life-size copy of a triceratops skull that greets you as you enter the clubhouse. Also located just inside the main doors is an exhibit that details the rich history of the property and shares information about the dinosaur tracks and other important fossils uncovered on the site.
