quiet and intimate. 11/13/2002

Took a ""potential"" friend here and it was perfect. The service was fast, the food was well prepared, and the atmosphere was was very intimate. If we didn't look around, we would have never known the place was filled to capacity. Don't expect any quick meals. They give you plenty of space and plenty of conversation time. more

The service and ambiance at the Food Studio were fabulous. The food was alright (appetizers, wine were wonderful; entrees so-so). It was a challenge to find (make sure to get good directions), but overall enjoyable. I'd definitely go back, recommend it to friends. A great date restaurant. Give it a Try 9/3/2002

We ate here last week and many of the things we ordered were really delicious and perfectly cooked (pork loin, scallops), although some of our other choices were just so-so (soup) The only real disappointment, however, was our desert order - the desserts seemed appealing from their menu descriptions, but were not good. Clearly, the pastry chef needs some help here!! One bonus though - an expansive wine list and reasonably priced cocktails! We will definitely go back, just not for dessert. You really should try this restaurant. The food is amazing (foie gras, duck confit)!!! The wine list is great, and the service is extremely attentive. Still my favorite restaurant... 6/10/2002

I cannot say enough about how incredible the Food Studio is every time I visit. I highly recommend the Duck Confit appetizer (a standard). This last visit, I had the Halibut entree, which was served in a brothy ginger-infused sauce with veggies. The Warm Spring Berry dessert was simple and perfect. The service was friendly and psychic, as always. I highly recommend the Food Studio to anyone seeking solace in atomosphere, great food, and perfect service. My only problem is that my budget can't allow me to dine here more frequently! Pros: Service, Presentation, Atomosphere Cons: Pricey more

FAB! 6/2/2002

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant on a Wednesday night about a week ago and we're still talking about our experience there. Our waiter was Michael...he was very knowledgable of the food, the wine and the combination of both. If you like foi gras (sp?) it can be compared to that of New York's finest restaurants. From the cocktails to the desert our dining experience was TOP NOTCH. We will be going back and will be requesting Michael. Pros: Service, Food, Wine Selection more

I recently had dinner at The Food Studio. It was everything I expected and more. We didn't have reservations and the hostess was very accomodating and fit us in approximately 30 minutes. Service was unbelievably good. Michael was wonderful and extremely knowlegable of the food and especially the wine. Food was excellent. The deserts were okay, which was fine because everything else was so perfect. Such a cool place to go just because or a special occasion. I will definitely be back. Cons: hard to locate more

Loved it! 5/21/2002

I went to the Food Studio last weekend while visiting a good friend of mine in Atlanta. The first thing that impressed me was the decor...it was stylish and cool without being overly trendy. I live in Miami Beach and SoBe has it's fair share of overly trendy places. This place got just right...great lighting and ambiance. The bar is fabulous and so was the bartender. The food was delicious. The appetizer scallops wrapped in bacon was good (not great), but the grilled buffalo steak entree over sauteed arugula and fried garlic was superb. Bonus points for the selection of homemade breads and kalamata dip! Not a cheap place, but a good value for the food, service and atmosphere. I would highly recommend it. more
