I wanted to order flowers for my grandfather's funeral, which was being held in Wenatchee, WA. Not being from the area, I looked online for a florist in Wenatchee so that I could order directly from them and not pay the wiring fees, etc. I chose Floral Designs by the Tumbleweed because I liked the look of their website. When I called, I was very specific about the flowers that I wanted for my grandfather's funeral. On the day of the funeral, there was no bouquet to be found that matched the description of the flowers that I had ordered. The card that was supposed to accompany my flowers was there, but the arrangement that I ordered was not. The arrangement that the flower shop sent over looked nothing like what I had ordered. I had asked for an arrangement of of purple flowers with a cowboy theme with a purple ribbon bearing my grandfather's name. Instead, Floral Designs sent over a small, wilted, multi-colored bouquet that looked like it had been picked out of someone's backyard, tied together with an ugly red ribbon with my grandpa's name spelled out in rhinestones. The ribbon looked like something you would give to somebody as a joke. In addition, the flowers, which I had ordered 3 days prior to the funeral, were delivered about 20 minutes before the service began. I know this because the Floral Designs by Tumbleweed van was pulling away just as I was parking my car at the funeral home, and the funeral home also confirmed this fact. I called Floral Designs after the funeral, and they absolutely would not take responsibilty for their mistake, even going so far as to lie and say that they had made my flower arrangement exactly as I had asked. Even the people at the funeral home think that the florist was lying about which flowers were delivered, stating that there was no purple flower/cowboy themed arrangement delivered. The funeral home also noted that the flowers should have been delivered a lot sooner than 20 minutes before the beginning of the service. This florist made a huge mistake with the flowers I ordered, would not take responsibility for their mistake, did not offer to make things right, and basically argued with a customer who was already upset and grieving. I will never order flowers through Floral Designs by the Tumbleweed again, and neither will anyone else in my family.
