Fleet Feet--great for serious trainers who need shoe help 12/28/2006

A lot of pain can be saved by investing in the right shoe. However, it can be overwhelming to figure out which one is right for you. Do your feet roll in or roll out as you run, do you want more cushioning in the front, or the back of your shoe. When it gets too daunting, Fleet Feet is there to help. The well-trained, and very friendly staff will take the time to get to know your needs, recommend the right product for you, and will even watch you run to make sure that the shoe you buy is the best possible fit. However, keep in mind that their expertise comes at a price, and if you're looking for a cheap shoe steal, Fleet Feet is not the place to go. But if you're looking to invest in yourself and save your body from potential pain, go for it. more

Great Service 9/22/2005

Fleet feet doesn't have a lot of selection, but that can be a good thing. They seem to offer only the shoes that they believe in which is backed by their return policy. My friend bought a pair of shoes and she ran in it and got major blisters, she was able to return them no problem, even after running in them. The other great thing is that you can have the people there help you find a shoe that will go with how you run. YOu put on a pair and they watch you run down the street to check out your stabilization and stuff like that. When i did it, the sales girl could tell that I didn't feel really stable in the shoe's before i even said anything. The other great thing is that they don't pressure you to buy even after doing the shoe fitting. The price of my shoe was expensive so i wanted to go home and think about it, and they didn't make me feel guilty about wanting to think about it. The bad thing is that the shoe prices are expensive (like not on sale) but they are worth it. I love my shoe and I'll even go back and buy the same pair. more

your typical running shoe store 8/16/2005

The staff at Fleet Feet Sports are generally knowlegeable about the shoes that they're selling, and will be able to help anyone get a good shoe that will fit properly. Unlike the big name shoe stores, they'll let you "test drive" a pair of shoes around the block, which is the only real why ot tell if a shoe really fits you or not. As a runner myself, people will often ask me what kind of shoe is good, and I always tell them that they should go to a dedicated running shoe store, because everyone's feet are different, and it's important to have the right shoe for any serious distances. more

get great running shoes 8/16/2005

Not another chain shoe store, the clerks at fleet feet know their running shoes. They will have you run down the street while they watch and help you find the right shoe for your foot, not just the one that looks cool. This service doesn’t come cheap, expect to pay a big more than you would at a national chain or online, but having the right shoe is invaluable to a runner. Also a nice selection of swimsuits. more
