Flat Rock Grille No 201

I visited Flat Rock on Woodruff today at about 4:00pm. My kids and I were looking for a new place to eat every Saturday since we moved. We always are a very easy table even with 3 children. We also always leave a gracious tip 28-50%. I am a server and understand some issues that can occur and I rarely, almost never complain. Soon after my entree arrived I found a piece of plastic in my food. I brought it to my servers attention... It was very slow, maybe 4 tables in the place. The manager? eventually came to the table and asked me what I found in my meal. I told him. Then he asked me if "It affected my meal?" I told him yes, that I didn't know were the plastic had been. He seemed very hesitant to fix the issue and made me feel unwelcome to have a problem with eating trash in my food. The visit was not a good one. Though the entree was taken off the check, I didn't feel that my business was appreciated. I left a very good tip(%50), always do. I have been a server for 10 years and have never seen such a fairly common problem just be ignored. Plus service and attitude from all employees I met was horrible. more

Good food at a good price. The atmosphere is very good and people are alwas great. They menu has something for everyone. Steaks are great and so is the fish. I even eat here for lunch and they have a terrific chicken strips. Daily specials are available. There is also a wide variety of dessert items. If you have any room left. more

If you are looking for a good restaurant at a good price then stop the Flat Rock Grille. The place will probably be packed due to the good food, but it is worth the wait. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is top notch. Try anything from the menu and you will be pleased, but the best they have to offer is probably the fillet or any of the selection of fresh fish. more

Flat Rock Grille offers an excellent selection of fresh seafood, steak and chicken made-to-order. They offer a wide selection of wonderful desserts. The restaurant is always packed, but the servers make you feel as if you are the only people in the restaurant. On weekends, you can expect a wait, but it is well worth it for the food quality. The prices are also very reasonable. more

We've eaten here several times and have always had great experiences. Our servers have been very knowledgeable about the menu. We've been encouraged to try different items that we might have overlooked otherwise, and we've never been disappointed. I'd highly recommend their She Crab soup.. it's what I order every time. The wait time has never been extreme and we've always been greeted immediately upon entering. Great central location and a very warm atmosphere, with lots of dark wood and stone surrounding a central fireplace. more
