High pressure tactics and poor health got to me get involved with FJB Associates. My windows are guaranteed for life they said, (and put in writing) and now one is broken and I can't get ahold of them to replace the ""special"" glass. They knew I was on a fixed income, and I had to replace ALL my windows, not just the one I could afford. Then there were the doors. Both need repairs. I have written to them, called them, tracked them on the computer to no avail. Perhaps my insurance company will have more luck. Cons: installation, repairs, living up to agreement, costs more

After a long fight about how we wanted the windows to look, they contracted out for the work, which they say the don't do. The workers left a mess, put 2 windows in wrong, one had a broken lock, and 2 had bent screen. Not to mention they're drafty. After fighting to get them to come out to fix them, they told us we bought junk windows and we should upgrade. I'll be paying for these ""junk"" windows for 5 more years. more

Installation of our windows was careless and shoddy. The job, begun last November, still isn't complete even though the company has their money. We have sliding screens without hardware that allows them to be latched. Hardware for our crank out windows contained nicks and scratches through the plastic coating to the metal. This problem was eventually corrected, but the problem with the screens still exists. We have been passed from Syracuse personnel to the Buffalo office and now to an Albany branch. I allowed them several weeks to correct the problem. Now I am unable to reach the person who said he would handle this. Repeated calls have not been returned. Pros: Quality of the triple-paned windows may be acceptable; this winter will tell. Cons: Installation was shoddy. After 10 months, some problems not yet corrected. more
