WOW! WOW! WOW! I absolutely love! what Marcel did for me! $40 bucks a few weeks back to change a hose or two. AWESOME!!! I am going to bring it back in a few weeks to do the O2 sensor, also! Why am i soooooooo happy? Let me tell ya: After asking about 10 auto repair shops if I could just drive my 1998 VW Jetta TDI in and if they could look at it, because it was hesitating, and I got a sales pitch from 9-10 that would make a derivative trader at Goldman Sachs *BLUSH* - ARE YOU F*ING kidding me with some of these 'quotes'?????????? ""$110 to look at it."" ""135 to look at it."" ""Insert crazy stupid amount of money here, for me to get a 10/hr guy to spend 5 minutes looking at a hose and then tell me it is an electrical problem and we charge 105/hour to find the problem."" I then called Bartosh on Mill plain and he told me to go to fix-um haus. period. I called and marcel said he would look at it for 40 bucks. I brought it in, he did what he said he would do and then he told me to do a few things on my own and save a few hundred bucks too... THANKS AGAIN MARCEL!!!!! more

If you have a VW I would not recommend going to Fix-Um Haus to get your car fixed, unless of course you really don't care if you dont see your car for a month+. Dropped my car off 4-5 weeks ago let them know i was leaving for boot camp at the time, they said no problem. I call today (two weeks until ship date) he says take it somewhere else..awesome.. more

These guys are the best! Fixed my 2003 TDI the same day, showed me the old parts, explained what was done and DID NOT try to sell me on a bunch of expensive add-ons. I will definately be using them in the future. more

I was referred to these guys from my boyfriend after Herzog-Meier quoted me close to $400 to repair an oil leak. After conversing with one of the guys on the phone about possibilities, he told me to bring the car in so they can check it out. Not only was the quote a $100 less, I didn't feel like I was being worked over because I was a female. In the end, my car was done in one day and I paid less then what I was quoted even though they worked on my car longer than expected and even did more work than required. They've earned themselves a life-long customer. I highly recommend them! Thank you for making my VW Fahrenheit run beautifully again! :) more

really fab guys who don't try to overcharge you, is this still possible in this day and age. Definatley part of the tribe who is more concerned about keeping customers rather than rip offs. if you need something fixed on your bug I would highly recommend them. more

These guy's are greeeeeeeeeeaaaaaatttttttttttttttt and honest. I found out about them through a friend and have taken my rabbit in and for little things they just fix for free and will say we need good customers but for big things they will give the best prices ( I shop around ) and guarantee their work. I cannot say enough about how decent they are initally I was a little cautious being a woman and not knowing much about cars. If you got a VW and don't want to be ripped off and not pay dealer prices. Fix-um is the way to go. more

I took my golf here by a friends recommendation and I couldn't believe the way I was treated. I talked to a guy named Marcel about having a 100K check up, I must of said something the wrong way due to his reaction of insults. I asked him if he was sure he could handle the job because I have been taken advantage of by other mechanics, needless to say this must of insulted him because he became irate short, and yelling some Jamaican slang at me. When I asked if I could talk to his boss he had the nerve to say ""Get out of here stupid white girl!"" WOW. My friend who recommended me to them couldn't believe it either and obviously won't be sending anymore business to this guy. Pros: none if you can't even talk to this guy Cons: insulting, unprofessional more

These guys were very considerate of my needs (i.e. gotta have my car back because I have a kid) and were very reasonable in price. My friend referred me and I would refer you! more
