My wife stayed extra days to take advantage of the pre-sale promises and warranty, the repairs needed were fake and manifested upon return home...still no call back from MGRS. do not do business here. more

Terrible Service Mangement Even More Terrible Attitude 3/23/2012

I took my vehicle to 5-Star Chrysler in Warner Robins Ga a broken window motor. I had an aftermarket warranty and was told by Tina that it would be no problem; wow! What an understatement. After a I was told that my warranty had approved the repairs it took take 3-4 business days to get the parts. When I was brought the vehicle in at 7:45 am, I was told that THE mechanic had work left over from the previous day and he would get to my van as soon as possible. Really? There is only one window motor guy in the entire department? Anyway, the work was completed and the real fun began. Apparently, in an attempt to get me to change my warranty coverage over to theirs, the service people started making excuses for the long lead time stating that my warranty company was being difficult and if I had their warranty then they could just “charge whatever they wanted it would pay without question.” When the service "advisor" finally called stating they had been paid it was so late that we had to leave our vehicle overnight. When I went to pick it up I'm told that there is a charge that the warranty company did not pay and it would have to come out of my pocket, sales tax (charged twice), supplies (Really? The motors come as a kit), service history admin charge(?), EPA compliance charge, sounds like my warranty company was taking care of me, refusing to pay the dealers “extra” charges. I refused to pay because it was not discussed and was not approved by me before work was completed. What really made me angry was the attitude of the people; they acted like I was some kind of slug for not wanting to pay their “extra” charges. I will never return to this department, not because of the money but because of the way I was treated when I challenged their "extra" charges, it was as if they we saying "so what, well just get it from someone else, you are just small potatoes and don't really matter." If you don’t like to be treated like trash, you'll steer clear of them also. more

Treats You Like Gold, Until You Drive Off The Lot!!!!!!! 12/17/2010

Early October 2010, my wife & I purchased a 2008 Jeep Patriot with 20,000 miles from Five Star Chevrolet. We found the vehicle online & drove quite a distance from the upstate of So Carolina to the dealership. After finalizing the deal, we prepared to drive off the the lot, we asked our sales rep where the 2nd key was. We were informed that there wasn't a 2nd key, but the sales rep promised that he would call the former owner of the vehicle to see if they have another key and if not, he would have one cut for us. Please keep in mind this was as we were about to drive off the lot & after all paperwork was signed, sealed & delivered. I called the sales rep back after a week. He stated that he hadn't yet contacted the former owner & that he would do so & call us back. We never heard back from him, so I called again. He stated that the former owner didn't have a key & that he would see what could be done about getting us a new key. We never heard back from him. I called him several times over the next few weeks & left voice mails, with no return calls. I finally resorted to calling & asking for a sales mgr, who stated that the rep was not working that day. He promised to talk to the sales rep & then call me back. Never heard back from him. Called back again after 2 weeks. I got a different sales mgr & was told that they would speak with the sales rep & get back to me. Never heard back from him. Called back 1 final time. I did get a call back, but was told that since the key wasn't included in the paperwork, the sales rep claims he never promised me a new key and the fact that it had been 2 months since the car was purchased, they wouldn't get me a new key. This is simply unacceptable. I certainly hope that we don't accidentally lock our keys in the vehicle or worse yet, lock our dog in the car! I know this is a minor problem, but I believe in integrity & keeping promises made. They obviously do not train their staff on these two key business principles! more

I am a single woman and have become accustomed to being treated as if I don’t know what I'm doing or that I can be easily taken advantage of at car dealerships. This didn't happen here. I was treated with courtesy and respect by everyone there. I was given a fair deal on my new car and was extremely pleased with the sales department and the service department. Buyer beware 9/14/2010

I bought a 09 HHR about 4 months ago from this dealership.I bought the extended warranty and THOUGHT i was still covered under the 60k miles warranty,BOY I was wrong!I bought a new car because,I needed something safe for my now 2 month old son. So here goes,as i'm picking up my son at daycare i try and turn my car OFF,the key is actually stuck in the car!!My car wouldnt turn off!!So I rushed to the dealership figuring that I just bought this 09 car and extended warranty,id be well taken care of!WRONG!!!!The man in charge there tells me,well I have to charge you $110 for the diagnostic fee(ill get back to this later),and when i find out whats broken we'll see if your warranty covers it.Long story short of course my warranty doesn't cover this,and the man tells me $952.Im a single mother who just bought a new car with the warranty,thinking id be safer driving an 09 hhr,then i was driving my 95 jeep..I was WRONG my jeep was $1,800 and lasted me a whole yr before problems.This 09 HHR was 16k and broke within 4 months. Thanks Kevin Noel for selling me a total crapbox!Please look for my car with the words"Thanks for the lemon 5 star Chevy"!If even 2 people see it,then thats 2 people who will think twice before buying a car from you Kevin and Five Star!If they took good care of there customers they would of done something to work with me,but they didnt...... more

I have been to numerous Chevy dealerships in different states for different reasons, Five Star was by far the most friendly and helpful. I was upset with the dealership we bought our Silverado from in Michigan and because of it almost jumped from Chevy to Ford, but the dealership here sure made up for it. I won't take my vehicles (Cobalt and Silverado) to another dealership if I can help it. Everyone from the receptionist, the techs, and even the salesman I talked to while waiting were all professional and deserve kudos. I am very pleased with Five Star Chevy. more
