Fitness Xpress

This is the first time I've left a review for a company. Fitness Xpress closed by my house and transferred my membership to another gym (The Fitness Club) 15 minutes away without even notifying me. I have been constantly harrassed even though I cancelled immediately after I found out from another member. I was on month to month but National Fitness Collection company wants me to fax my contract in because they don't have a copy and wanted proof I had completed my year and was currently on month-to-month. Besides the fact that it was right down the street, the reason I joined is because it was a women only gym which The Fitness Club is not . They started taking money out of my account under that name without authorization (which I disputed and received back from the bank) and eventually had to cancel the card which was recommended by my bank. My 70 year old mother joined as well and has been constantly harrassed by them also. I will never join a gym again. more

The bathrooms are nasty and smell, the machines never look clean, the staff is always outside gossiping instead of helping people. They have machines that were broken from the day we started there over a year ago. Worst experience I have ever had. Pros: close to home Cons: dirty, broken, nasty more
