I recently had an experience with First Tech Federal Credit Union that was hardly professional. I opened an account to finance a solar loan and was told by the representative that charging my credit card was a transaction that would be accepted. I explained in detail that I wanted to charge the balance of my solar loan to my credit card to get the points added to my credit card. This was not a problem according to Connie Stewart who created the account and set up the solar loan. After the first payment came out, I asked for the balance of the load to be charged to my credit card. When the transaction went through, it was done as a cash advance of which was never authorized and created a $500 cash advance fee. I explained to Ms. Stewart that this must have been an error and to look into it. She informed me that this was standard procedure and she had told me of the type of transaction that would take place. She NEVER disclosed this to me and after a lengthy discussion with her she told me she would take it up with her supervisors and review the taped conversations. The last call from Ms. Stewart informed me that the supervisory staff had decided to do nothing to alleviate the situation. I understand this was not First Tech Federal
