Authenic Sicilian 9/20/2011

I can remember in the last 12 years of going to Fiore', only once having bad service. The food is fantastic, and my favorite dish is the Sicilian pasta. The atmosphere reminds me of Italian restaurants from the 60's, lots of hanging grapes, I know, it's not neuvo italiano, it's comfortable, real. There are regulars there, and the witress always remebers my name, even if I skip going for a year! Oh, and the pizza is fantastic too~ incredible crust! more

Okay for family style dinner 2/9/2008

Well, I won?t say it was terrible, but I don?t know that I?ll be going back anytime soon. The food was okay but, also it was priced very reasonable. So if you?re looking for home style cooking at a fair price, I would say it was not bad. Paper napkins, plastic covered the tables. If you?re looking for elegance, romantic and quiet setting, I think I would look for something else.\r \r Unfortunately what made the experience bad was our waitress, she was a little young and the cousin of the owner. I think she needed a job and they figured why not let her be a waitress. (Bad move on there part.) Example, I asked what the specials were and she said, ?there up on the board were you came in.? Then after reviewing the menu, I asked what the fresh fish of the day was, she replied, ?well, its fresh fish?, I again asked, ?but what kind of fish,? she said again, ?FRESH.? So I dropped it. Turns out she went back to ask and the fish was halibut, but they were sold out (this was at 7:15pm.) Besides these few things she was okay. We had Calamari for the appetizer (okay) and the Manicotti and Veal Parmesan for our main dish. Good, but over cooked in the broiler, i.e. very, very hot and blackened on the edges. \r \r Guess I was just expecting an elegant and romantic evening? Not at Fiori D?Italia. Pros: priced well Cons: not for romance or first dates in my opinion more

All around good out of the way place to go! 3/16/2007

This is a good all around place to go for Italian food. The prices are good, the food is excellent, and the service is just right. The bar is cozy and has a wide selection of liquors, it is non-smoking. If you are a smoker, there is another gbar on the other side of the building . The atmosphere is a little more Alaskana than Italian, but it is a good value. more

Best Italian food, hands down. 3/13/2007

This is a wonderful restaurant that isn't nearly as popular as it should be. My husband and I go there far too often as it is our favorite place to eat in town. They serve very authentic Italian food that is absolutely wonderful. My personal favorite is the chicken caesar salad (it's the best on the planet, hands down) and my husband loves the Stromboli. Although I'm sure anything you order will be equally as delicious. The atmoshere and service are great too. The restaurant is owned and run by an italian family so it has a very authentic, warm feel to it. One last thing to add...this is not a tourist trap which is wonderful. I get the feeling that it's advertising is done pretty much by word of mouth. Bottom line, Fiori D'Italia is a fabulous restaurant and I reccomend it to anyone with good taste craving fresh, authentic italian food. more
