Well darn it people you figured out we have changed our name, oh and wait we moved as well. What do you mean same crap service? What did you expect? These are the same lack luster under paid employees. With little to no knowledge about the animals fish or birds they are *supposed* to take care of. But they do come cheap! Oh you don't like this guy? I will cycle him out the back door and bring in someone new with about the same social skills, and no knowledge of what it is we do at a pet store. We will call you to let you know "we are having a sale, two for the price of one". What we will not mention is the fact that the price on the exact same fish from the week before has **doubled**. What do you mean price increase? Oh that is down to the strike at the docks in California. Two for the price of one, who told you that? Keep your money in your pocket, drive to Derby, Kansas City or Lawrence, at least the employees there know what they are talking about. more

They keep their puppies in a glass case all day, have the staff clean out the case once a day and doesn't allow any type of gloves etc what if a human comes in contact with diseased animal feces? A worker there told me that the owner doesn't like to employ people with tattoos/piercing. My friend worked there for 3 4 weeks, and never seen the last paycheck. more

3 Issues: #1: Was sold a VERY sick dog and were not notified. KS law requires pet stores to maintain the health of the animals. Our puppy had been treated several times for coccidia and gerardia. They stopped treatment 3 weeks before we purchased him. We had to treat him with three different medications and he still has diahrrea and bloody stools. #2 We were pressured into buying a 2 month insurance policy that included AKC registration. A "value" at $69.99. We were told that were we to do this separately, it would be twice as much. (can't recall the exact amt they quoted) When we received the AKC registration, the AKC registration was $20 and the 2 months of insurance was complimentary through the AKC. In other words, we paid for insurance the was supposed to be FREE! # Issue #3 We purchased a chinchilla from this store. We told them that we wanted a male. We were told the one we purchased was a male. We just found out yesterday that it is a female. (females have more issues than males and aren't as docile). After reading the previous posts about this company, we chalked it up as a hard lesson learned. I did not want to stress myself out, if these people do not have the integrity to do honest business practice. I will NEVER go there again and I would NEVER recommend anyone going there. Very disappointing. The Kansas Dept of Animals or the BBB should take a hard look at these people. I feel sick to know how many people they have mislead and how many puppies remain sick that are in their care. Buyer Beware!!!! more

a petstore that sells puppies promotes back yard breeding. a breeder with a good reputation would never allow any of their pups to sit in a glass box for months on end because the store wants to sell the dog for 500 dollars. very cruel in my eyes. the dogs are doomed to have behavior problems. where are the dogs allowed to get out and run, there is no place around that building that even has grass, so the dog will learn to potty inside. being isolated in a box for months will give poor social skills and a very good chance the dog could become fearful later in life because of the lack of socialization, a fearful dog has a higher chance of biting than a confident, well socialized dog. stay away from this place, if you buy from here you contribute to the cruelty of dogs and you help promote unlicensed breeding. a way you can tell if the breeder is a good one, ask the person working there if you can see the parents so that you get an idea of what the dog will turn out like, if they say no we cant do that, it is a back yard breeder. a good breeder wouldnt sell to a petstore anyway more

I love going to Fins and Feathers. They are a small shop but they have a large variety. They sell fish, birds, small animals, reptiles, aquariums, and other pet supplies. I love looking at the pets there. I have purchased mainly rats and rat supplies and they were at cheap prices. I also love their rabbits. If you want pets for a cheap price and good quality then go here. more
