Fine Eyecare Associates

I have had only good experiences with Dr.Fine and his office staff. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my appointment. The reason that appointments might be longer is because this office is very thorough and has the latest equipment to check all aspects of your eye health. I have found Dr. Fine to be one of the kindest Dr.'s I have met. One time when I had a problem with a contact lens he came to the office after 7 pm at night because I was very worried about it. Always reassuring and very professional. Sudha is lots of fun and very dynamic. I have never felt pressured to buy anything. My frames have lasted 15 years with a fabulous warranty when I've broken them. more

I was a little skeptical to visit the office, but decided to give it a try and am glad that I did. I showed up for my appointment and the receptionist was very friendly. They took care of all the insurance paperwork so I did not have to deal with any of it. I came in Sudha was waiting and asked what kind of glasses I wanted. She picked out a small selection for me and was very resourceful in picking the pair that best fit my face. This was the best eyeglass experience I have had in quite some time. Sudha was very patient and made sure that I was happy with the frames and understood what I was paying for. The prices are very competitive compared to the chain stores with the feel of a small town shop. I look forward to my next appointment. Great job thanks! more

First of all, I called this office for an appointment for my son because he was listed as someone who accepts our insurance. When I called, I felt I was wasting my time with the idiot who answered the phone. When we got there for the appt, we waited & waited & waited some more. Finally, they took my son to the back. He has an exam, came out and said we had to wait a while longer. 30 minutes later, they come and get my son take him back for the 2nd part of his exam??? Not real sure why he had to go back twice as they never mentioned it to me. While sitting waiting for my son to be done, the two assistants that sit up front did nothing but gossip and talk about patients. COMPLETELY unprofessional. When I asked one of them how much longer my son would be (I was on a time limit due to having been there for an hour already and it was close to the time I needed to pick up my daughter from school) she was SO rude to me and said ""you will have to wait"". Are you serious????? The lady needs to come down off of her high horse because, she is not ""all that"". more

Dr. Fine is nice enough and I do like being able to try new contacts before buying them. I did feel like they were trying to get money from me. They offered to take $30 photos of my eyes (not covered by insurance) and never asked what my decision was. They told me the information, had me leave the room and then called me in to take the photos. What? I never told you I wanted them! Needless to say I didn't have them taken. On the whole the office is sub-par. On my last appt (Dec '08) they didn't bother to tell me that my visit wasn't covered even though they had just taken my insurance information. Hello! That would have been nice to know before my exam. A couple of the staff members are rude whenever I call. I feel like I could get better service elsewhere so I am switching doctors. more

personally i would like to say that sudha is the best person i have met who is able to help me find the best look, and help me get the most updated look i have ever gotten. Pros: good help. Cons: no cons. more

I have been a patient of Dr. Fine for over 20 years, and I have never had any problems. Dr Fine has the latest equipment and is very knowledgeable. I have never had any problems with his assistant Sudha or any of the office staff. The assistant Sudha seems to be on top of the optical industry trends, and has fitted me with some sharp looking glasses and shades. more

I couldn't agree more with the first review. I went to Dr. Fine because he was covered by my insurance but hate going to him and now I'm going back to my other doctor and willing to pay more. The man wastes your time. It took an 90 minutes for a standard eye exam, most of the time you're waiting around. And he does schedule not needed appointments and tries to upsell services. And I can't stand the woman who fits your glasses. I'm glad I'm not going back. more

Dr. Fine had me return for multiple follow-up appointments, which seemed really unnecessary to me. I did not have any problems after the first follow-up appointment which would warrant further check-ups. It seemed like it was a way to collect more payments.
