Filippis Pizza Grotto has been in business for a really long time in Escondido and it is easy to see why. Their food is great, the setting is casual and comfortable. Location is easy to find; there is lots of ample parking. Menu prices are fair. My personal favorite on their menu is the lasagna and the veal. I like a lot of sauce with my pasta, and when I have asked for extra sauce on the side, they have just provided me with another lasagna size dish full of sauce! The antipasta salads are good and a generous portion as well; one will serve at least three people. The dining area is large and they can accomodate large groups. There are a few video games to keep the kids entertained. They also have pick up available. Enjoy Filippis for all of your Italian dining; you won't be disappointed!
