Good martinis 8/23/2009

I havent eaten there and dont plan on doing so anytime soon, I only go there for the yummy Apple martinis. I tried some of the frozen drinks but didnt think much of them, so I'm just going to stick with the apple martinis. Pros: Apple Martinis more

Avoid From There 4/24/2008

I do NOT recommend Figaro and suggest avoiding it at all costs. I got bad food po*soning from eating a meat dish and have needed to have time off work because of vomi*ing etc. On informing the restaurant manager, I was not even offered my money back - service is non-existent. AVOID Figaro Pros: avoid Cons: avoid more

Disgusting 9/6/2007

The meal that I had at Figaro was one of the worst meals I have ever had in my life. The fried calamari was fishy and fried in dirty oil. The pastas were not much better. I had penne with eggplant in ricotta - eating the eggplant felt like having a mouth full of dirt, and the sauce was so drenched in ricotta that it didn't even resemble anything made from a tomato. My boyfriend had fettucine carbonara with what looked like canadian bacon, raw onions, cream (!!!), and it tasted like EGGS. Really, really, really bad. Do not eat here. Pros: Atmosphere is ok for the after work crowd - drinks only. Cons: Food is disgusting, service is mediocre. more

NEWLY RENOVATED 12/19/2005

After a LENGTHY closing, I was pleasantly surprised when Figaro's reopened. Nice clean new look; the prices on the menu are still reasonable and there is a great variety. I had lunch with 3 friends of mine, all ordered different pasta dishes and we all loved each of ours! Pros: Inexpensive, Comfortable, Not rushed more

Maybe for a drink...but nothing else! 8/4/2005

I have passed it many times but only just went in. It gives an impression of quaintness, convenience and quality from the outside BUT wait until you get inside! I went for lunch and the staff does not welcome you upon entering. Most of the waiters have their shirts untucked and round-the-clock shadow on their faces. The lunch menu looks like they had taken the least expensive items off of a coffee shop menu and left the most expensive ones. My chicken was drenched in airline quality brown sauce without vegetables or anything. Take it from this luxury hotel concierge: grab a beer, drink it and leave. Pros: Near hotels, Walk to theaters, Convenient Cons: Poor service, Poor food, Creepy atmosphere more

Great food and service w/a smile 6/10/2003

Waiting for my girl to finish work, I walked into this place because I saw tv's above the bar, to sit and get a beer and watch a game. The crowd is mixed w/guests from the nearby hotels, afterwork suits, and regulars there to relax. I now go about once a week, they know my drink and my girl's drink too... make it when we walk in. They have the best linguini w/red clam sauce and the price is cheap for NYC standards. I feel like a local when I'm there, even though I live at the Jersey shore. Pros: Price, Great Bartenders, Good Eats more
