Editorial review from Citysearch 1/22/2014

I had gone to a few dealerships and was getting really frustrated by the hard sells, trying to be sold stuff I didn't want, and slimy salespeople who wouldn't even give me a price. Then I went to Fields and spoke with Roberto Lopez. He is the BEST!!! He wasn't pushy, he listened to what I wanted and didn't try to sell me something else, and gave me a price upfront. I told him I was going to get back to him in a week or two and he said he wouldn't bug me, he would let me get back to him. The crazy and awesome part is he really did. I didn't get 3 calls a day to see if I was still interested or that crap I got from other salespeople. When I finally decided to get the car he held it for me until I had a chance to come in and fill out the paperwork. He was amazing!! I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a new car. :) more

This place is a true pleasure to deal with when looking to purchase a new vehicle. Customer service is top-notch, as is the rest of the staff from service to concierge. Sam Mauro was honest, likable, and hard-working, which are extremely valuable traits when trusting a sales person to suggest the perfect SUV. I am rather picky and can not write enough good things about my experience here at Fields Jeep. Thanks! more

GREAT experience! 4/3/2012

I have to say, my experience couldn't be more different from the other reviews here - night and day. I highly recommend Fields Jeep. I just bought my second car from Eli Luber. I upgraded from a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited to a 2012, same model. I have also gotten all of my service at Fields (oil changes, tire rotation, etc..) in the intervening years. more

Rude, dangerous Reps 8/29/2011

I was just about killed by a sales rep (driving a new Grand Cherokee wth Fields dealer plates on it) as he ran me off the road. He pulled up next to me on the interstate, gave me the finger and proceeded to run me into the concrete median. I narrowly escaped with my life. He was also talking/texting while doing this and laughing... he thought it was pretty funny. I would never / will never do business with a company who employs people like this. Based on other reviews here, this is a typical mentality of Fields employees. more

the worst and most unprofessional place I've ever dealt with 7/29/2011

This dealership is the most unprofessional place I have ever dealt with in my life. This past weekend my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee was flooded. I called to make an appointment on Monday July 25th to repair the damage and the dealership (Fields Jeep Northfield, IL) said that they were very backed up and could not see me until Thursday July 28th. When I brought my car in at my scheduled appointment time I was told by Jamie (the service rep. who checked in my car) that my car ""might not even be looked at today."" I was confused because I had made an appointment and told her that I just wanted to get an estimate of the damage. I called to check the status of my car 4 and a half hours later and the service rep. told me that my car was JUST starting to be looked at by the technician. I told the service rep that I needed my car and she became very agitated with me and was extremely rude and offered me no alternatives or solutions to the problem. Just a month ago, I had brought my car in for services and experienced the same type of attitude from the service staff and frankly, I am nervous and scared every time I have to talk to anyone from this dealership. The general manager actually told me to take my car somewhere else...what type of place does that??? more

Service Department a Royal Nightmare 8/6/2007

I've taken my car for service on two occasions where they've returned it to me with 30+ miles put on it and less than 2 miles from empty. (It's happened TWICE!) They used my car to transport materials...and one service person drove it home to ""test out a repair."" I spoke with the owner of Fields the first time around...and apparently to no avail. If it weren't for the fact that I bought my car here (and hence only get the benefits of a loaner vehicle here) -- not to mention the fact that they're the only Jeep dealership that can schedule a service appt in less than a week, I would NEVER come back here. They're HORRIBLE. Pros: Good deals on purchasing cars Cons: OFFENSIVELY TERRIBLE service department more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE 4/12/2005

When you go to Northfield jeep- be prepared to do most of the work yourself. These guys rarely call back or do much of the legwork. We had to wave someone down while we were on the lot. They were too busy smoking cigarettes. The salesman at the accompanying lot- BMW are even worse. I am not really sure who these guys think they are. They are car salesman for christsakes. They sell cars for a living. They are rude and obnoxious. I will never buy from Fields Jeep............ever. Pros: Jeeps Cons: Salesman, Salesman, Salesman more
