Here is a chance to ride a working cable car from April through November. It was built in 1882! Fortunately the cable cars were completely rebuilt in 1977. You can ride up the steep hill to the top and experience the wonderful view of the Mississippi River and three states (Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin)! This is the world’s shortest railway at 296 feet long and has the steepest view. $2 for adults roundtrip and $1 for kids roundtrip. This is a national historic site.
