Best Facial Ever Ever Ever! 1/23/2005

I went to Felicia at Janis Chakler skincare a week ago, and I'm never going anywhere else again! She was extemely attentive, friendly and professional... and never even got close to pushing any products. I have extremely sensitive skin and am always nervous about getting facials. I friend of mine just raves about this salon, so I decided to try it. This is the first facial that I've ever had where I could leave the salon and go straight out to eat/shop without having to go home and wait hours for the red to disappear. Great for Men 1/21/2005

This is a great place for a man to have a facial. I used to get facials in LA all the time. When I moved to SF I had a hard time. A friend referred me to this salon, I had a great facial. I will definately go back. My skin looked great. more

Fantastic 1/20/2005

Wow what a great place. I only had waxing done here but it was amazing. Hardly any pain and no ruff edges on the brazilian. This was one of the best. Very cool place. I love it. more

I've been to many places in SF for facials but JCSC is by far the best. I had a treatment that was the most relaxing and I saw results immediately. My skin never looked so good. My husband even commented. What a fab place. I love it. Pros: Relaxing, Results more

I was pleasantly surprised with this quaint skin care salon. Very clean, very knowledeable about skin and products without being pushy. My facial was excellent not red or blotchy afterwords. The most relaxing treatments. Felicia is a pro with the extractions. Very relaxing. My skin looked and felt amazing for a week after the facial. The products she recommended are amazing. I saw a difference after two weeks. This is the place to go. I love it!! more

The Best Brows and Brazilian 1/18/2005

I got the best brazilian and brow wax ever. I just moved here from NYC, so needless to say I'm picky!! Felicia has a sweet way about her so you never feel uncomfortable. Not red or bumpy, I hardly felt it. I'm so happy I found a place that cares!!! Next time I'm getting a facial!! What a find. And they have this product for ingrowns that they never have in NY. I totally disagree with the last review. I've been coming to Felicia since she was at Marilyn Jeager Skin Care. Her brazilian's are awesome as well as her facials. I've never know Felicia to be a product pusher. So in my opionion it's someone with a vendetta against the salon/and or Felicia. I've been all over this city searching for the ultimate facial, and I've found it at Janis Chakler Skincare. The staff here is friendly (no attitude), very knowledgable about skin and not pushy. I've been to places where they line the products up and expect you to buy $500.00 worth of products. Not here. I'm so pleased to find a clean, great place in the Marina. Finally. Very Cute Place 1/18/2005

I received a gift certificate over the holidays and boy was I treated with a wonderful surprise. I had the best facial that I ever had. My face looked amazing after the treatment, even with a lot of extractions. My face was not red at all. I made another appointment. I love facials. Usually when I go to spa's they rush you in and out. At Janis Chakler Skincare your facial is a full 75minutes. Very relaxing. And yes they do extractions and you don't look like you've been in a fight. On a scale from 1-10 def. a 10. Pros: On Time, Great Staff, Not rushed more

I used to go to Felicia at her previous salon and was thrilled to find her at Janis Chakler Skincare. She makes getting a brazilian wax not so bad. It's quick and she always has funny stories to tell me. She also suggested that I start getting monthly glycolic peels to control my breakouts and my skin is really looking good. Finally! Worst Experience 1/14/2005

My first and last time at this salon. My total bill really added up and my treatments were the worst in the city. I received a brazillian and it was the most painful experience ever and i usually get one every month, so i'm not a novice. I have no idea how these people are in business. I also received a facial and my skin was red for a week. I don't even think she paying attention to what she was doing because the whole time she was trying to sell me product! more

Such a cute space in the heart of the Marina. Janis Chakler Skincare is quite the find. Very intimate salon, where you don't feel like you are at a big spa. You get treated as if you were part of the family. The treatments are great, my face felt amazing after the facial, and I bought products and they are amazing. I will definatley make this place my new facial home. more

I have any many facials and waxing's in my time but Janis Chakler Skin Care is one of the best. I had a wonderful facial with Felcia, and then decided to get a brazilian wax, wow, she was great. Well I don't usually get facials, but decided it's time for me to become a metrosexual. I did some research on the web and found Janis Chakler Skin Care. I don't have much to compare to, but when I left this place my face looked amazing. I felt great, and my girlfriend raved about my skin. I will definately go back, and I even bought my girlfriend a gift certificate. more
