I am the manager and one of the owners of Felger and Friends for Hair on Butcher St. in New Braunfels, Texas. I would like to make it clear that I stand behind all of our stylists and employees. We have been in business for over 30 years and have assured our clients that if they have ever a concern or suggestion to contact me and I would handle it. We handle all of our problems immediately in the salon, rather then going through the internet. We strive to satisfy every customer that walks through our doors. With that being said, I would like to invite anyone to visit our salon for the services we specialize in and create their own opinion about us. I have always gone to a barber and a friend suggested to come see Teresa!! Teresa did and an amazing job!! I won' t be using anyone else!!! Teresa will forever be my new stylist!! Hats off to you!! Keep it up!! more

I have been going to Teresa at Felger & Friends for about 2 years now, and I absolutely LOVE her. Before going to Teresa I would dread going to get my hair done, because I always hated it afterward, and would never go to the same person again. After going to Teresa I WON'T go to anyone else. She takes the initiative to tell me what she thinks would look the best and will ask me what I think, and she always is right. She takes her time and is very very professional about what she does and my hair always looks amazing. She always styles it and suggests tips on how to style my hair, and always gives me ideas on ways to pin it back or curl it. I always refer her to friends and they feel the same way I do. The entire staff at Felger & Friends are the most friendly and professional staff at any salon in New Braunfels. I totally disagree with the review about the receptionist being rude, and referred to as a ""stripper."" She is always so polite and very helpful. I have never had a negative experience at F&F and will continue to give them my business and refer them to my friends. Let me start off by saying that the receptionist is very un professional. then during my hair appointment my stylist Teresa rushes me through to get to her next in client mean while she is talking and gossiping the whole time about inappropriate things and using language that I wouldnt approve of around my children. I felt rushed and then she used pretty darn skimpy of the product! And it showed! The overall vibe of this place is cheap the receptionist is rude, and makes me feel unwlecome. The staff is fake and somewhat cold and tends to gossip about high school issues. They couldn't even remember my name, they kept calling me by another name, despite the fact I've been in on multiple occasions! I gave them a fair try, but in the end I left this place one too many times feeling cheated. I thought maybe if I left a good tip on the bill, it might win me some better customer service on future visits, but it did not seem to make any difference - at all. Also, it was obvious to me that the staff plays ""favorites"" with certain clients, which is not the kind of thing I want flaunted in front of me after a sub-par hair cut or bad color job. I'm not going to waste my money or time on this place anymore, and will go to a real salon from now on, even if it runs me $50 bucks more, better than paying twice to fix what they couldn't get right the first time. more

I have naturally thick, curly hair and have learned that not many stylist know how to work with this or are willing to dedicate the time my hair takes. I am also very picky and a perfectionist. I have been going to Teresa at Felger and Friends (on Butcher St) for several years now and have referred countless family and friends to her. All of whom also became and remain loyal happy clients of Teresa and refer their family and friends to her. Her level of commitment and service shows how much she cares. She treats each of her clients like they are her only client. Teresa does my cut, color, styles, and even makeup. I will not go to anyone else and I would recommend her to EVERYONE! She does amazing work and is so helpful and honest when I am looking for suggestions. I trust her completely! I also love the atmosphere at this salon. They are always very sweet, cheerful, and fun. You can tell they are close and take a lot of pride in the quality received by every customer not just their own. This extends between the other stylists, the owner, and even the receptionist. They are a fantastic salon and Teresa is an amazing stylist! more

I am 39 years of age and am extremely picky about my hair!! Since I have lived in Texas I have never been able to find a decent hair-dresser! Finally I ran accross Teresa about 5 years ago and it has been a true blessing!! I won't let anyone touch my hair but her!! She's amazing!! I get compliments at least 5 times a week!! I even have her fix and style it about twice a week:) I have since sent her about 30 other people and they feel the same!! No one has been able to make my hair look as fabulous as she does!! My other friends would agree!! Keep it up Teresa!! more

I agree with previous reviews. I had TERRIBLE service from Teresa. I DO NOT recommend her to anyone! She is ""sissor happy"" and will not do as you ask. She does what SHE thinks. I quit going to her after she repeatedly messed up my hair and would not do what I wanted. Also she gossips, more than any woman I have ever met. I think she needs to understand that the work place is not a high school and also that she is a grown woman. I cannot stand hearing all the drama this woman is involved with. She is an adult and needs to learn how to act like one. more

Great place. But just curious to know what strip club the blonde receptionist at the Felger's off of Butcher street came from before work. Evertime I have gone in to the salon she has literally looked like she just came from a strip club. Everyone else dresses very nice which makes me wonder why they don't do anything about how this young woman looks and carries herself. Makes the place look very tacky. She needs to learn what is appropriate to wear to work or they should find another receptionist FAST. I can't stand going in to the salon because of how nasty this young woman dresses. I would NEVER let my child walk out of the house like that. more

Felger and Friends on Butcher Street has some of the best hair stylist I have been to in a while, but also some with the worst customer service I have ever had in a hair salon. I know at the hair salon girls gossip and talk about the lastest scoop but I was taken back how immature some of the employees were acting, they were gossiping with each other. In my opinon that is very unprofessional. My usual hair stylist was on vacation and my hair was begging for a salon so i decided to try someone new, if I re call correctly her name was Teresa. She was the worst. I warn all of the fellow salon seekers to stay away from Teresa. While I was trying to relax and have my own time, she was constantly gossiping with the receptionist. Not to mention Teresa was an older adult and the receptionist had to only be in high school, Teresa was talking about another high schooler! Pardon me but when I go to the Salon I like to have time to myself and relax, its kind of a mini vacation for me and to hear all the immature non sense gossip between an adult and child was riduclous. Plus she did excatly what I asked her not to do with my hair. Over all I will never return to Felger and Friends, and will never reccomend Teresa to anyone. more

I have always used the Felger & Friends off of San Antonio street, but my daughter requested that she wanted to try the one on Butcher street. Listening to her wishes disreguaring all of the horrible rumors I have heard about the women that work at the salon and decided to take her. more

I have to say I agree with the other review about not using Stacey, she was very rude and unprofessional leaving me alone while processing and just not listening to my wishes about my hair cut. I was over charged and ended up having to have someone fix the hack job she did to my hair! I wouldn't let her touch my hair EVER again. I am not pathetic or trying to ruin anyone just a concerned citizen who thinks people should know who they are letting work on their hair! As for the salon in general there are some exceptional stylist there just not her! For those who like her work continue on as for me I found a new salon! Pros: the salon is cute and the people are very nice Cons: there are some stylist who just shouldn't do hair more

I have to say the person who wrote about Stacey is pathetic. You should have never slandered her name. If you had a problem with something she did then you need to let her know..and let her try to fix it and make you happy. That post should be deleted because you used her name. Now whoever sees that will not want to go to her just because you said something about her. You need to grow up and get a life. Quit trying to ruin other peoples business. more

I have been going to Stacy for a couple of years now, and I really like her. There have been one or two times that the color turned out a little lighter than I like, but overall, she is good. My husband and niece have also been happy with her. more

do not go to the girl named stacy at the san antonio st location if you like your hair! she has no clue how to do hair and she will screw your hair up HORRIBLY!! I dont usually trust just anyone with my hair but being new to the area I took some not so good advise and went to her and she over processed my color and totally screwed up my cut I was so upset I cried all the way home. I still hate my hair and will never go there again! more
