New to the Brunswick area when my neighbors became overjoyed at the opening of a local summer restaurant I became interested. Certainly an establishment that has been around for more then 40 years and inspires this much loyalty has to be good. The retro car hop shop seemed pretty cool, until you stop in.... Then you are greeted reluctantly after a 15 minute wait by a girl who is obviously being put out of her way to stop at your vehicle and there is no greeting but we are told 'its gonna be at least 25 minutes if you want anything.' With this enthusiastic approach we decide that we will try another night, after all its Friday and they are probably really busy. BUT when we came back on a slow Tuesday afternoon we waited almost an hour for an order of onion rings, cheese sticks and 2 milk shakes. They food was bland and cold. The service slow and unfriendly. There was nary a glove to be worn by any one I saw handling food. The waitresses went from handling money, to food, to dirty dishes, to trash and peoples cars. A disgusting experience. Perhaps they have been around forever but they should feel blessed to be in such a forgiving community.
