Famous Gyro George

Dry and over priced. Charged $28.00 for three crappy dried out gyro's. It sure is not what it use to be. Would not recommend these guys. Go to McDonalds. more

Placed a to-go order, someone missed a jumbo gyro, I guess it's part my fault for not checking, BUT, when I called them to let them know, they called me a liar and agreed to replace the gyro, saying that they weren't going to make a big deal about it even though they were 100% sure it was packed. When my co-worker went to pick it up, three people behind the counter were giving him grief and calling him a liar too! I know it's not in the best neighborhood, but when you have guys in shirts and ties coming in saying that something is missing, guess what......it probably is! This is my first and LAST time going into this establishment, despite the fact that the food was pretty good. You just don't treat customers like that! Good: Atmosphere, prices, food. Bad: Cleanliness. Improvements: Wipe the tables down. Other: Ihop was closed, so we found this place down the road. I didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised. The food was good, the service was friendly. The place was a little rough around the edges, but had lots to look at and was more interesting to be in rather than some corporate chain. In the end I was glad ihop was closed.. more

As long as you dodge the bullet that might be flying past you in this part of town and step over the somewhat greesy establishment that makes up the Famous restaurant and forget that your on a diet, you will love this place. It's one of those places that begins to grow on you. It's an addiction and its not for the diet frenzy person. This is good ole greesy good cookin. A collectic atmosphere presents relics from a former day here in Cleveland. The staff is very friendly and down to earth so much that you might see some of the staff still in their jammies while they serve you. The cost of their food plastered on big bill boards in front can be very cost effective if you are selective in their combos that they offer. Go off the beaten path and get yourself one of those BIG gyros with mushrooms, cheese and onions. MMM MMM GOOD. Despite the dangers of traveling and eating at a place like this, you will want to come back for more. more
