Famous Dave's

When there were no cars in their lot but the Bugaboo Creek lot was packed that should have been my first clue. The restaurant was empty, only us, and one other table that was seating after us. This was at 5:30PM. The onion strings looked like they were made by a five year old. And the cook could not tell the difference between beer battered cod and breaded catfish. The waitress while pleasant, had no clue of the menu offerings. When I brought the fish to the attention of the manager (who by the way looked like the one responsible for the onion strings made by the five year old.) he had no explanation other than to say, oh yes thats the cod......by the way beer battered fish is not not made with a flour coating. I give this place 6 more months before the doors a shuttered. more

One of my worst dinning experiences. First, I was the only one in the restaurant. It took almost 20 minutes before my order was taken. 30 minutes for appetizer, which arrived seconds before the main course. Some food was over cooked while other was under cooked. Terrible place. more

Excellent Food in this hidden Gem. Off the beaten path but well worth the trip!!!! We really enjoyed the ribs and we will be back to try some more off the Menu. more

I'm a huge BBQ fan and thought "Famous Dave's" would be the place for me. A friend and I decided to check it out for lunch and were hugely disappointed. We started off with some onion strings, which were loaded with salt. You couldn't taste anything besides salt, which left you dying for a drink. Luckily, the drinks are pretty large. We both decided on BBQ chicken sandwiches with fries. The service was quick and they came out fairly fast. We each had only taken a bite or two of our sandwiched before we stopped eating. The chicken was very cold. Cold as if they took chicken out of a fridge, attempted to microwave it and slapped it on a bun. The fries were cold as well. I do not recommend this place to anyone, no matter how big of a BBQ fan you are. The manager was just as cold as the chicken, and its nothing to brag about. more
