Ezell's Famous Chicken

Good: Price is a little high, but what isn't now a days? Chicken is great! chicken strips (spicy & regular are so yummy! WE LOVE EZELL!!! I have also read some stories about how his in-laws have used him and conned him, and it makes me sick... God bless you Ezell!. Bad: Sometimes the staff is friendly and quick, othertimes, the staff has blank expressions on there face and act like they really don't give a damn if you are there or not.. Improvements: Frendlier staff, consistantly good cooks, same portion size all the time.. Other: I have seen other comments on here about how terrible this place is, and one actually stateing there was a "portly woman eating chicken while working"- I think these reviews are rediculous and probably making things seem worse cus they had a long day. myself, or my family has never had to wait 30 minutes for an order, the food is always good, 2 theperson that was comparing Ezzell's chicken to the QFC, that was rediculous,The food is fresh= you must give them time. Ps- QFC chicken sits around 4 hours!!!!. more

One word to describe this place, would be fantastic! The food is excellent! Best chicken I've ever tasted, but be aware, when they say spicy, they mean spicy! more

That's what we call Ezell's. Oprah liked this chicken so much that she would have it flown to her from Seattle when she felt like eating it. (Pretty sure she doesn't do that anymore - her trainer would not be happy.) I try not to eat too much fried, greasy food - but when you're in the mood, there isn't a better place to induldge than Ezell's. The skin is nice and crispy and has a good flavor, and the chicken inside is tender and moist. Perfection! more

I have to admit that I was skeptical when a Seattleite lauded the fried chicken at Ezell's. I don't even like fried chicken, but Ezell's fried chicken is very, very good. The chicken is moist and tender, and the skin is crispy and well spiced. I've easily eat too much each time I eat their food. more

Oprah brought the "fame" to Ezells Famous Chicken in her grease days by flying in the Chicken from Seattle to cater her events. One of the only local chicken places I know of, you can order Ezells in original or spicy. Not much of a fried food fan myself, I love Ezells rolls. They are usually served hot and have a hint of sweetness about them. Be aware that there is no seating available at this location - take out only. more
