Signed up to give reasonable follow-up response. I consider myself to be fair and have worked many optical practices in Houston from not so great to fair and ethical. I consider this place definitely an ethical, clean, quality driven medical practice. That is my opinion and why I choose to be employed here as a certified associate. Having said that, in reference to the below misfortune. I am the Asst Manager that spoke with her after our General Manager already discussed arrangements with her. Ms. Hansard had an Rx issue/adaptation issue which was discussed with the General Manager prior to my involvement. My GM had advised me of Ms. Hansards circumstances and asked me to assist her in following through a resolution that the GM had already decided with her. So, while our GM was out/unavailable I did in fact call Ms. Hansard and reiterate her corrective options mainly discussing how removing the polarized filter could help based on her explanation of her visual issues/concerns with signs and lighting shared over the phone. I did this to make an expedited resolution so Ms. Hansard would not have to wait until the GM was back. We agreed on the course of action to make them in her prior Rx without polarization but tinted and she felt confident about our decision over the phone without a doubt.. She had been advised by the GM prior about the inability to see well near if we used her old Rx long before I initiated getting her replacement lenses or speaking with her. We also reordered and replaced her brand new frame with another simply because she felt is was defective because of the random tortoise pigmentation on one side showed a hint of more amber where she didn't think it should. She failed to mention us providing her another new-er frame again to appease her hence waiting for the new frame to arrive. Lastly, when I spoke to Ms. Hansard about her completed order (new lenses and new frame again), I did advise they were completed the previous day but near the end of the day. Why would we call at close to closing time if there is not enough time for the patient to actually make it to pick-them up before we close and if the order is well within the specified time of explained completion? Hence why she was notified the immediate next business day. We do not sit on orders purposely and I do personally care very much. When orders are ready we move them out but we also prioritize our high volume of processed trays to get the oldest orders out asap. I realize we can't satisfy everyone but this place from my experience goes well above and beyond time and time again and the majority of our great folks see it and feel it. I apologize Ms. Hansard feels we did not meet her expectations. What always amazes me is how satisfied patrons rarely take the time to sign up and review but people that feel scorned always do. Be warned. \r \r When my prescription sunglasses arrived, I immediately told the staff that I was dizzy from the correction. They asked me to wear the sunglasses for a few days to try to get used to them. \r \r Two days later I returned the sunglasses as far distances were jumpy. I had to remove the glasses to see near when I bought gas or put my groceries in the car. When the sunglasses were returned to Eye Trends Barker Cypress, I was told that the prescription was correct as to the doctor's orders. I felt that I was at fault for the wrong prescription. I tried to tell the assistant that it was ok for them to be wrong let’s fix the problem. I was told again that I should try the sunglasses for maybe two weeks to be sure. I said no matter how long I wore the sunglasses they were the wrong prescription. I left the sunglasses at Eye Trends Barker Cypress.\r \r A week later I received a phone call by the assistant manager who told me that they would remake the lens as to last year’s prescription and when I picked up the new sunglasses ""I would be stuck with them"". \r \r The new sunglasses took over two weeks to arrive. The manager said to me that they arrived the day before but he didn't feel like calling me until today. Why would someone tell you that? \r \r When I picked up the new sunglasses, I could see far clearly but not near. The prescription was better. I will wear the sunglasses while driving and I can tolerate the poor near vision when needing to see my car dash. I will have to buy nonprescription sunglasses for gardening, outdoor markets, and other close distance vision.\r \r The prescription sunglasses were billed as $555.00. When I asked for the refund of not receiving polarized lens I was told that it was already billed and no refund could be made. Therefore I had to pay for something I did not receive.\r \r We had been to this facility once before for my families eye glass needs. My husband did not want to return to Eye Trends Barker Cypress and I should have listened to him. As for our family we will happily choose to go to another vision facility. This was my experience and I wish you better luck if you decide to go to Eye Trends Barker Cypress.\r more

The Best Doctors In Town! 8/6/2011

From the moment I called to schedule my appointment to walking out the door after my appointment, the whole experience was just amazing. Sweet lady answered the phone and was able to answer all my questions and concerns. When I arrived for my appointment they were busy but were able to greet you and get you back in to see the doctor in no time. As for the Doctors, absoulutly AWESOME! Dr. Pham is just a hoot! After the exam she sent me out to speak with an optical person. They were very knowledgeable about all of the available lens and frame options. I was even given the option to change or return them if I was not satisfied. I will recommend this office to all in the Cypress area! more

Eye doctors ok, people behind the counter are not 7/8/2011

The last 3 times I have been here they always try to charge me incorrectly for glasses. Even when I have them call my insurance, and my insurance tells them they are calculating the totals wrong! They argued with my insurance for an hour! My insurance takes 20 percent of the initial price and then subtracts $100, and I pay the difference. Eyetrends insists on subtracting $100 before the taking 20 percent, telling me and my insurance that it is the same thing(which it is not, around $20 difference for $300 glasses) . Eyetrends even had the nerve to tell my insurance that they have been doing that to all their customers. To which my insurance flatly told them they have been ripping off their customers. I have had enough of these jokers. more

Great People 3/12/2008

I have been to this place several times. I am very impressed with the level of service provided. They discovered a disease in my eyes and were Genuinely concerned. I have had multiple conversations directly with the dr and not thru a liason. My turn around time for glasses was not what was expected but they kept me updated. The service with a smile more than makes up for the wait. THANKS EYE TRENDS! Pros: Very personable Cons: Wait time for product more

Is there a problem 10/19/2007

When I saw this place looked good from the outside, went in and the receptionist say very rudely ""can I help you"" like I was interrupting her break or something. I said I am new in town and looking for a new optometrist. ""Well we are the best in town!"", I said OK what makes you the best and she said it was her. This was a weird experience. I thanked her and left going who hires these people. Pros: easy to get to Cons: wierd people in the office more

Best Cypress area eye doctor 10/9/2007

I can recommend this store and doctor with confidence. I took my daughters in for exams, paid exactly what they said on the phone it would cost and got quality glasses and contacts. Dr. Tran is willing to take the time to do the job right instead of just pushing people through the system as quickly as possible. Their patience is limitless while we picked out frames and while my daughter learned to put on her contacts. If you need a good eye doctor and live in the Cypress area this is the place you should go. You won't be disappointed. Pros: easy to get to, easy parking Cons: can't think of one more

Eye Doctors who care 2/20/2007

Great eye doctors! I have been going there for about 3 years now, and they are so personable and nice. I got an eye infection last year and Dr. Pham came in on a holiday to take care of my eyes. I don't know many doctors who would do that. She also called to see how I was. Pros: Very nice clean facility. more

slow to fill prescriptions 11/14/2006

Slow to fill prescriptions. Promise in a week. 10 days later no call, no prescription. 2 weeks later still no call, they haven't checked on what was taking so long from the last call. You have to call and tell them to call about the status of prescription. Otherwise, they just take your money and forget about you. They never called me to update me on the status. I always had to call them, but it only took them 2 days to cash the check. more
