Amazing Hoboken optometrist - the staff here was friendly and Dr. Mike was great, very personable and thorough - this was my second visit to him but when I mentioned havingsome eye strain, he gave me tons of tips to help reduce the strain and keep from getting headaches from it. I have been seeing Dr. Mike for over 8 years. I did stray from him a while back and tried an optometrist close to work, but it was a mistake. My prescription was so off. It was terrible. I was seeing double for two weeks. I had to walk into Eye Shoppe and explained my situation. They were able to fix my glasses, but it ended up costing me in the long run. I tried to save 9 dollars on my eye exam. Dr. Mike is $96 and the other guy was $87, it ended up costing me $229 for new lenses on my glasses. Yikes. They are a bit expensive compare to some places in the city, but they have never did me wrong. more

I was very pleased with the overall experience. The doctor was very informative. He explained to me about my cataracts and what I should and shouldn't do. He really took the time to explain everything to. I was able to pick out glasses and get one of my reading glasses done same day. Very fast. Great prescription, great bedside manners. He comes very highly recommended from Columbia University. All the professors there go see him. I was so happy I listen to my gf and went there. Their Eye Doctor was awesome. One of my best eye exams every. he really knew his stuff. I had a few issues with my eyes before, but every time I would ask my old optometrist they were really annoyed that I didn't just shut up and buy some glasses. Dr. Lui was so cool. He even told me that I didn't need Progressive lens and plano AR lenses like I was prescribed for years. He did a ""muscle function"" test on my eyes and found out all I needed was part time reading glasses. I kindly joke he turned a 900 dollar sale into a 300 dollar sale. He said it is always a shame to spend money if you don't need it. I am so happy I went to Eye Shoppe. I have since sent everyone from my office to go see him. Totally thrilled and completely happy.
