I ordered a pair of Tag Heuer sunglasses from this store. They made me pay with a new pair of Tag Heuer sunglasses I just purchased from another store - then Eyeoptics resold them for $500 - and made me give them an additional $600 in checks which they cashed.
The sunglasses never came. Three months went by and I called to cancel the order and request a refund. The request to do so was negated by an excuse that the sunglasses were coming from France.
Finally in early September I got a call that the sunglasses had arrived. They were the wrong size, the wrong lens, and non-prescription. I wanted to return them, but they insisted that I instead take the original pair I saw three months before which were still lying in their case.
Unwittingly, I took them. They took the other pair back. I then researched the price of the price of the old pair they gave me online and they were listed for $275.
I even went to another eyeglass store that carries the same frame and the salesman told me that what Eyeoptics gave me was a pair of sunglasses that were a prototype for a prescription lens. Tag Heuer never sells it's prototypes.
I called Eyeoptics and requested a refund for the difference of the sample sunglasses which I figured cost around the price I saw online and the price the man at the other store with same frame said he would probably sell them for. Again, it was around $275.
Eyeoptics never returned any of my calls. I went in person and they made a ton of excuses, claiming that they would order yet another pair. I simply didn't want to wait another 3 months, nor did I want another pair.
Finally, I must have called 10x to speak to the owner, Keith. He never came to the phone. He always had an excuse.
Now I am out all the money I paid.
