Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. I used them before they became awful so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. They do always tell you something is horribly wrong with your car. The first strike was when they attempted to replace the computer in my car. It took them 2 weeks to get it in and they would call me every morning and tell me the car would be ready, then every afternoon it was some new delay. When I finally got it back the girl at the counter snottily informed me that there were ants in my car. Really, because they weren't in there 2 weeks ago. I never saw an ant but when I got home I opened the hood and found oil running and dripping off of everything. They had unscrewed the oil cap and laid it on top of the engine. I called them and was told that they didn't do it...I must have done it and forgotten. I must have stopped on the way home, unscrewed it and forgotten. I paid for new alternator that day. The next day they had to replace that one because it was under warranty. Then the next day they replaced the replacement..5 alternators later it turned out they had missed setting some sensor and it was frying the alternator. I Googled the issue and showed up with the print out on how to fix it and handed it to them. The third strike came a couple of weeks later when my radiator burst. They replaced it with apparently no problems. Awesome, right? Then a couple of days later in the car port I noticed a red puddle under the car. They had not in face tightened the hoses to the radiator and I had lost almost every drop of transmission fluid. I haven't been back, I take it to Eagle Automotive (they are wonderful) and I've only had to have the spark plugs and spark plug wires replaced in the past 4 years since I stopped letting Express Tune touch my car (other than tires, oil and brakes). It is amazing how much stuff broke on it while they were 'fixing' it. I'm not saying it was deliberate, I don't know, but if they are that sloppy and making unnecessary repairs to jack up the bill they should not be in business. My advice to people is that if you break down in front of Express Tune then go in and ask them to call you a tow truck to take your car somewhere else:-) more

My husband and I used this service for over 7 years. One month ago we took our car in for service and were told that an item needed to be replaced that cost nearly $800 for parts and labor. A few days after getting the car back we had the same exact problem. When we took it back, we were told that after running diagnostics again other parts needed to be replaced which would total $900. They kept the car for 2 weeks with no update. When my husband inquired of when the car would be ready and an explanation of what was wrong, he couldn't get a clear answer. When the car was supposedly ready, an employee picked my husband up in our vehicle to bring him back to the shop. On the way there, the car starts shaking and doing the exact same thing it did when we first took it in. Upon getting to the shop, he still didn't get an explanation of what was wrong with the car but was told that they would take a look at it again. We received a call 2 days later saying the car was ready. This time when he got to the shop and asked for an explanation, he was treated as a nuisance and told that if it wasn't working it may be such and such but they'd ran over 11 hours of diagnostics and couldn't find a problem. To my husband's surprise, when he gets into the car to crank it up, it doesn't work! .When he goes back in to talk to one of the owners he is treated like some commoner of the street instead of a loyal paying customer. The owner then takes his time in talking to him and denies a request to speak to him in private so that his other customers would not hear. When we requested a refund for the $1700 we spent to fix a car that they never fixed, we were told that we would only be refunded $225 for the last service's labor. This business knowingly took money from my husband fully aware that they did not fix the car and then refused to give us a full refund on parts they put in the car that weren't needed and they showed no remorse in doing it. I only give this business 1 star because it's the lowest it will go. If I could give them a 0 I would. more

I am a 25 year old college student and was taken advantage of because I drive a brand new 2011 Acura TSX. I went in for, what I thought, a $35 oil change max. Ended up with a $60 bill after they called me to confirm that it was okay that they use this synthetic oil. I politely declined and told them to back the car off the bay and to only use regular oil. They refused and stuck me with the bill. The under educated gentleman that works here swindled me and backed me into a corner simply because he was wrong and he knew it. I have never been more insulted by another human being more in my entire life. Shame on your business for your shady practices, and given the other horrible reviews I have a feeling your already receiving the Karma you deserve. I give you a F - - - on service and I will never return here ever again. Don't be fooled by the good reviews of this place, their probably the relatives of the owner pumping in counter reviews. I should have gone to Castrol Car Care off Northside drive, don't know why on earth i didn't go there to begin with!! more

Express Tune & Lube is the cheapest and best place in all of Statesboro to get your oil changed, it is always under $20 and they get your oil changed very quick. They also do tires, brakes, tune ups, anything you need done to your car. The guys who work over there are super nice. more
