Best

You can get a room at Excalibur for $50 a night, and its shaped like a castle: whats not for families to love? Well, youll get what you...

Worst

Yes this place is based off of The Sword and the Stone but isn't as classy as Disney would have done it if it was their hotel. It's a great value in a great spot on the Strip tho...

Cheap, dark, and slightly sleazy 6/12/2006

Of all the mega resorts in Las Vegas, this is the one I liked the least. The theme was aweful, and was very dark and dated. It seems like they have made very little effort to keep the property updated. This property really needs to meet the TNT sooner than later. The only positive was a small food court that was reasonably priced (McDonalds had a dollar menu, etc) so this was a good stop for a quick snack. Otherwise its a pretty run down place. I guess if you are traveling with kids you might consider staying here - but overall I would consider leaving the kids at home! more

Excaliber Hotel 6/3/2006

This is a fun place to stay if you have kids. However, it was really smoky but all casinos are I guess. There is a good food court with a cheap McDonald's. They still had the dollar menu. The kids arcade was not that great. it was run down. the buffet was very average. Quizno's was OK. The tournament show was just OK; definitely not worth $55 per person. more

Great inexpensive hotel! 4/15/2006

While this is not one of the newer hotels, it is still in good shape. It is right on the strip, so you can easily walk to many other hotels. The rooms are very large, as is the shower. I have stayed here multiple times, and would definitely stay here again. The price is also one of the lowest on the strip, which makes it even better! more

Seems oriented to kids 4/10/2006

This resort is castle-style with dragons adorning it all over. They have a full arcade on the bottom floor, and it really seems geared towards kids. We did not stay there but went in and out to check out the casino and inside of the resort while in Vegas, and it was quite interesting but not a place I would choose to stay. It is in a good location on the strip though. more

castle 4/8/2006

This hotel offers affordable rates and is a great place for the family. The bottom floor is a huge arcade for the kids, and there is a jousting tournament that the whole family can enjoy. The pool is very nice and there is a nice hot tub outside as well. Excalibur offers a very nice spa for customers. Upon check-in you are given free coupons for a free visit to the spa; which has an indoor hot tub/steam room/health club. Very nice. However, Excalibur is located FAR FAR away from many of the new or oldies but goodies atttactions. Prepare your feet for some major walking. more

Excalibur 3/30/2006

This is a good hotel to stay at in Vegas if you are coming with your kids. It is not too fancy, so you don't feel awkward about walking through the casino to your room with the kids in tow. The rooms are decent and clean and the prices are pretty good. The kids really like it because it looks like a medieval castle from the outside and the whole inside is like a Sherwood Forest kind of a theme. I liked it because I didn't have to feel out of place with having kids there and it was very conveniently located - right across from MGM Grand and New York New York. more

Good location 3/21/2006

My very first trip to Vegas, I stayed here. I went to Vegas with three other friends and we got a great deal on the room. It wasn't the best hotel I've stayed in, but we were hardly ever in our room, so it didn't really matter. We had a great time in the casino and loved the slots. There was even one tiny little section in the slots area that was a "non-smoking" section. I really loved the location. It was easy to get to the Luxor, Mandalay Bay, New-York New-York, and the MGM right across the street. more

Fun for the family 3/17/2006

This is another rare casino, located on the popular Vegas strip, that is created for families. The 1st floor is for adults, while the basement floor is a kid haven. There is an arcade downstairs, full of video games. There are also midway games where you can win prizes for your kid (or your girlfriend), such as stuffed animals. It's all about fun. There's plenty of other kids around playing games. There's even a section where kids can play games to earn tickets to exchange for prizes. There's also machine claw games in another section, where you can win stuffed animals and watches. On adult floor, its the casino. Probably not the best set of games out there. I realized they mostly have quarter and dollar slots, but not much of anything else. Whats the coolest thing about the casino is the Excalibur theme. The whole shape of the casino from the outside is a crazy castle. It's literally a huge, standing quite tall white castle, with a tower on the side for the hotel rooms. If you want to have fun with your kids in Vegas, this is a place you can go to. more

Excalibur Hotel and Casino 2/25/2006

Excalibur is a great hotel to try for your first trip to Las Vegas. My wife and I stayed here during a week long trip, and we both thought it was an adequate but not amazing space to stay. If you're visiting on a budget, Excalibur offers extensive theming at a reasonable price. Rooms are reasonably sized and clean and pretty much all you need if you plan on spending little time in your room. The buffet here could use a little less sneeze guard, but prices are really reasonable. Overall, it's a great value if you don't care how luxurious your accommodations are. more

Good if you have children 2/8/2006

It is from the same people that brought you Circus Circus, so it is more of the same. Basically a step up from Motel 6. except Motel 6 actually has tubs. This place only has showers. this is for someone that REALLY wants to come to Las Vegas, has children and doesn't want to break the bank. You will be right at home here, the place is overrun with children (except in the run down casino, of course). more

Excalibur Hotel-Casino 11/26/2005

Nine out of ten times that we visit Las Vegas - we stay at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. We usually find a really inexpensive package for this hotel and thus never pass it by. It looks very cute and kid-friendly - with its castle-like stracture. Rooms are also in style with the exterior but are getting a bit worn out and old. 10 years ago they looked great - now they are outdated and need to have furniture replaced. I truly truly recomend it - 150%!!!!!!!!!!! more

Great deal in Vegas! 10/27/2005

Who actually spends a lot of time in their hotel room in Vegas anyway?! We have always stayed at the Excalibur whenever going to Vegas. We are budget concious people who don't mind saving money. Granted, the Excalibur is not the nicest or most luxurious hotel on the strip, but it's definitely better than Motel 6 and it's a safe place for a good night's sleep. It is family friendly- an entire level for kids, lots of different restaurants, and spacious rooms. On our last trip, I booked the rooms online. I checked 2 days before our trip and the prices went down. After a quick phone call to customer service, they were happy to lower my rate to the updated price. Excellent! I have no problem staying at the Excalibur! They have always done a good job for us when it comes to staying in Vegas! more

Great place to stay 9/18/2005

The Excalibur hotel-casino is one of my favorite places to stay when we visit Las Vegas. The castle is surrounded by a moat that has a dragon, there is a show you can watch that my kids find amusing. The jousting show/dinner was excellent. The staff is very friendly. more

Family fun 9/11/2005

Excalibur Hotel and Casino is a good place for a family on vacation in Las Vegas. They have a lot of themed events that make visiting fun for a child. The arcade and game room is the perfect stop for the little ones. Although, there did seem like there were a lot of problems with the skee ball machines. The rooms at Excalibur were standard rooms, two queen sized beds, a small bathroom, adequate dresser and closet space. The location is good, somewhat near the middle of the strip. Staff was accommodating and friendly. more

Cheap and Kitschy 8/29/2005

Campy, tacky, gaudy, hideous, yes. But this is one of the few hotels on the strip that are in a gooood locationn, have decent roooms, and are ooriented toward the traveler oon a buudget. Pluus, yoou have too take into consideratioon that this hotel doesn't take itself so serioously as ssome oother moore extravagantly themed hotels, so it's all in goood fun. Plus, its adjacent to MGM Grand and Sandwhiched in between the Luxor and NY NY. If you have kids, this is a goood place as the whoole underground level has a midway and a mootioon simulator ride just for the kiddies. more

good for kids 8/23/2005

I used to stay at the Excalibur when I was a kid, so I know! It's a fun place but in recent years has gotten a bit run down when it comes to rooms. It is still a very good deal for the price. Downstairs then have an arcade and midway games with a medieval theme and great stuffed prizes, which is fun for both kids and adults. There is also a small stage upstairs where they do puppet shoes and magic acts. Buffet is cheap, but it really isn't that great. more

Nice place to take the family! 8/19/2005

Exacalibur Hotel and Casino is a nice place to take the entire family. On the upper level you will find booths where you can get charactitures done, buy specialty items, and food. If you are interested in dinner and a show they have a dinner show where you get to watch jousting and enjoy that type of entertainment and be a party of it. more

Excalibur Hotel Casino 8/4/2005

The Excalibur Hotel Casino in Las Vegas not only looks fabulous on the outside, it is wonderful on the inside as well. I've stayed here on several occasions, and the customer service has yet to fail me. The atmosphere is fun and alive. They also have a very nice kid's midway area, full of fun and games for your little ones. more

Excalibar hotel 7/31/2005

I stayed at the excalibur hotel twice. both times it was just what we needed, a place to sleep. When you go to vegas you pretty much only use your room to sleep and that is what i did used my room to sleep. we gambled most of the time. I did like their midevil knights dinner and show they have it is entertaining. more

Happy staying 7/19/2005

This is one of the really cool Las Vegas hotels. I love this one especially at night when all the its towers are shinning pink and blue. It looks like Disneyland! The rooms are just ordinary, but it depends on what class you get. It is really nice that in the hundred+ degree weather of Las Vegas, this hotel has a monster air conditioner, you can even get cold in there! See the free show and see the dinner/show (for a wad of money of course.) more
